Returning Characters

Post » Fri Apr 01, 2011 5:52 am

Aside from the obvious what characters would you like to see make a cameo appearence in the new installment.

The talking Mudcrab salesman is a particular favourite of mine, also I've always held a soft spot for the Dwarves in Morrowind, there was a lot of lore about where they all went etc. what never really got explained.

Given the time frame there aren't many characters that could have a cameo. I suppose an easter egg like the mudcrab merchant is easy enough, and an elf may be fine, but most characters wouldn't make sense.

With Oblivion I was really hoping that Caius would be there, or at least mentioned, and I thought it would be funny to meet some of Crassius Curio's family. However with Skyrim there's no one I'm hoping to see from previous games . . . . either they'd be dead or it wouldn't make sense for them to be in the province.

True, think people like M'aiq the Liar would be included, just be good to see references to people in Morrowind, Oblivion etc.

Yeah, either the mudcrab merchant or Creeper would be nice ^^

Out of the more normal characters though I assume one of the few that could've survived would be Divayth Fyr, would be somewhat awesome to have him set up shop near the border to Morrowind and possibly have quests relating to the Dwemer and Daedra.

Mannimarco, he should have managed to resurrect himself as a lich, and angry about his less then glorious appearance in oblivion... ahem... should be very annoyed about his defeat by Traven's star-pupil and be stronger then ever... giving us the challenging fight we were actually after, rather then a little annoying high elf who could be tossed around echo cave easier then pushing the adoring fan off of dive rock... other then lichhood, vampirism or some other form of immortality (like being a deadra), I can't really see how any other characters could return. So really that just leaves the count of Skingrad... but then he should still be in Skingrad, so... no Count Hassildor for us, I'd say.

Would be nice if we could see the great grandson of M'aiq tho.

I just want M'Aiq the Liar. Descendant or just someone who is the equivalent of him, whatever.

I think that Dwarves would be awseome to have in the game.

Mudcrab merchant???

The Dwemer being in the game would completely and utterly ruin the greatest mystery of the series.

Mudcrab merchant???

I'm also a big fan of the mudcrab merchant. such a nice touch (and I want to be able to get my 15,000 gold out of my 100,000 katana)

I would like to think that the way they set up the lore (Morrowind refugees taking solace in Solstheim/Skyrim) would allow for some interesting descendants to be included. I would be happy with any Morrowind throwbacks, Jiub, Fargoth, Caius, the wood elf guy who fell from the sky, Divayth Fyr, Umbra, what ever happened to Vivec anyway? He could still be hanging around.

As far as Oblivion goes, I suppose Count Hassildor is a good option. Grey Fox as well is a must I think.

[And I agree the Dwemer should be left out, but that doesn't mean there can't be characters like Divayth who can offer new knowledge about them..]

Maybe M'aiq will be in here too. He is very healthy. Maybe he runs around so much cause he's running from death? :bolt:

I know it propobly won't happen, but I hope to meet Mannimarco in Skyrim and I want him to say that about 200 years ago some pathetic elf pretended to be him and that he himself had nothing to do with that.

Please Bethesda

I think we should find the corpse of the original M'aiq the Liar somewhere, and then maybe his descendant living somewhere for the lulz.

Didn't Jauffre look very much like Caius? ANd Caius left for the Imperial City a few years earlier? My first reaction was "Hi Caius" :celebration:

Mannimarco should definately come back and look more like his badass form in Daggerfall not the weaksauce looking one in Oblivion. Other then him Gray Fox should make a return as well as Janus Hassildor the Count of Skingrad.

If we look at the "warp in the west" even it could actually be more than one Mannimarco. The one who recieved the totem and accendent too godhood(I think he actually IS the shade of the revenant, but I only have some limited info on the subject soo I could be wrong). If that is the case it could be 2 other "mortal" Mannimarco's out there. This, however, is probably not the case, but it's worth too mention.
