I am so sick of being a beta tester as customer!

Gears of War will not have this problem, because they did a beta.

I agree with your complaint, if a game isn't finished it should not be released, but I have to call bull$#!t on the above quote. Gears 2 had and, as far as I know, still has, crippling and ridiculous glitches in multiplayer. I am not recalling if they ran a beta for GoW 2, but even after months (years?) of LIVE performance, they have not fixed these glaring issues. Perhaps if Epic's method of choosing beta candidates wasn't "buy this other game and get into the beta" they would have feedback from players who are objective as opposed to lip service from super fans.

In short, I agree, I would rather wait a month of two for developers to test. I would rather wait or participate in a beta test if it helps a product coming out as more polished. But I absolutely do not accept that the lack of a beta test allows glitches to get into the final product. I am much more optimistic for the future of this game due to Splash Damage's apparent interest in these issues as opposed to the radio silence we, as gamers, have received in the past from other game developers.
