I believe Mai'q has this dialogue outside Anvil

"Dragons are such fragile things, you must be careful around them. M'aiq broke one, and ended up here!"

I wonder if he was involved in something that caused a dragon break...for instance dancing on the tower?

Its a joke, like everything he says. The Marukhathi selective did their thing a thousand years before Oblivion.

M'Aiq does not have that quote in either game he appears in. That was a fan-made quote on the forums.
