Problem with aiming in Bring

Post » Tue Apr 05, 2011 12:46 pm

Hello. If Brink got an option for changing the aiming system for the call of duty one,i suggest to make it more precise like in such games
When i was playing Brink i felt like "i never going to kill anyone!" because crosshair was moving like he wants.
Is there any chanses to make aiming more precise and smooth?

turn sensitivity up? blops has auto aim...thats why you find it easy, if someone runs by in blops it will try n lock on for a split second and you only need to spray n pray to get a kill

There is aim assist in the 360 version, there's an option to turn it on/off

Pretty sure Consoles have an "Aim Assist" option.... I could be mistaken.

Tad more ontopic: No. Aiming is fine. And I hate CoD's aiming, as good as I am, no soldier is a 100% perfectly statuesque warrior that does not, breath, sway or miss with light-speed bullets.

Hmmm, not sure that all you have to do is hold down the trigger (actually i'm positive since I have over a weeks played time on that game).

Yeah the aim assist in Brink on the 360 is significantly less than on CoD games. It just takes some getting used to.

Here's a tip that will help dramatically: turn off the aim assist in the controller options. If you leave it on then your
cross hairs will follow enemies at times giving you the impression that your cross hairs have a mind of their own.

Also, this game has significant recoil and bullet spread on certain weapons if you hold the trigger down for more
than a couple of seconds. When you go full auto with certain weapons and you have aim assist on the cross hairs
or your sights will feel like they're going every where except where you want.

And yes, there is a noticeable delay when hitting the aim-down-sights button. It isn't instant like on other games.
This was either overlooked or was done by design. Hard to tell at this point.

The aim seems fine to me but I turn that aim assist crap off. Short bursts work best for quick kills.

First off, please done post unless you can use proper english/grammer. At least so we can understand what you are saying. Second, I have 35 days played on MW2 and I have no problem with the aiming in this game. If you didn't rely so much on the aim assist in COD, you wouldn't be having this problem in this game. Aiming actually takes more skill in this game than in the COD series. All you have to do is get used to it.

Thats because it is more realistic. In COD, you can quickly pull the gun up and have perfect aim(Sleight of hand pro). You would never be able to do that with a real gun. I think the aiming in this game is perfect. It isn't realistic to pull a gun up to your face and have precise accuracy. Especially with larger weapons and rifles.

Aim-assist doesn't have a place in PC-gaming, but I see why consoles need it.

First off, please done post unless you can use proper english/grammer.

This is off-topic but, if you learned english yesterday you are doing pretty well with it. Good luck with your issues in game. Go BRINK!

I actually found the aiming in Brink to be way better than CoD's...I really felt like I HAD TO AIM!...unlike CoD's,which everyone has a "hitbox" twice as big than the character.

There is an aim assist on Brink. Atleast on Xbox 360 it comes turned on by default. I turned it off thinking I would like full control better but I found the few times the aim assists messed me up were far outweighed by the help it gives me, as I'm not the best aim.

It does jolt or mess up at times though which can be totally frustrating. I think when shot at it does it more. Also if shooting in a alley way where the enemy keeps coming in and out of view, ducking behind a wall it will follow them even though you cannot see them as they go behind the wall.

The biggest thing is when trying to switch targets, if there are two or more in the same area, the aim assists doesn't help much. For that reason I might turn it back off as I get more practice with the game though.
