To me reviewing a game when there are known issues is stupid.. more so when you know those issues can/will be corrected shortly yet you review the game and count those flaws in. It bothers me more so that the majority of reviews that have came out about this game are ZERO day reviews meaning people fully reviewed this game fully in a few hours of release or at very least the same day.
being an older PC gamer (gaming PC since '94) I understand sometimes game have bugs when released and in my experience developers almost always correct them. I also remember a time where if i game was released reviews on the game didn't come out for weeks or a month later.
BUT WHY!!11
Because it gave the reviewers time to actually play the game, give it some effort and enjoy the game, not get out a check list and fill it out in two hours. So when i saw this news posting from the above review site i saw something i haven't seen in a LONG time... that is common sense.
So posted a 2 days later was their semi review or first take of the game found here. http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2011/05/brink-for-pc-runs-great-plays-well-online-is-a-ton-of-fun.ars and I think they nailed it.
Also it is great to see finally that PC gamers have a PC game that is ported to console instead of a console game ported to PC.
I have PC and highly enjoy this game and have not had any technical issues that i would complain about. Sure the game exits 100% sometimes middle of the game, sure I can't host a game and when I join a friends game every 1minute i get about 5 seconds of solid lag but you know what.. I'm OK with that because I know it will be corrected.
I enjoy this game a lot and see a lot of innovating features of this game that i wouldn't doubt games coming out in the next few years will implement as well.
