I also HATE the review IGN and Gamespot gave this game. It doesn't seem like they really tried it. I hope that these flimsy reviews did not doom the game.
For anyone who hasn't tried it here's a quick rundown:
-It is a AMAZING team-based shooter. Better than Team Fortress I'd say by a lot (on consoles at least). You actually feel the need to help your teammates.
-The AI are indeed dumb, but at each RANK they get smarter and more deadly. Eventually you'll get to the point where missions against bots are actually very difficult.
-This game is meant to be played ONLINE.
If you are looking for a game with an amazing story or singleplayer experience, or was looking forward to just playing against bots, look elsewhere, because Brink doesn't have it. It does exactly what it intended to be, an absolutely amazing team-based online shooter, however, nothing else.
*For the online experience I would give this game a 9/10 for how awesome the it is.
*But for the game as a "whole" I'd give it a 7/10 simply for the lack of singleplayer and story, however, it really wasn't meant for that.
