When I first got this game, I thought what is this. The graphics are way different than anything that I have ever played and the gameplay was a cross between Wolfenstein and Counterstrike. I was very disappointed, but as I have invested a couple of days into the gamepley now, I am beginning to like it somewhat. It is not what I expected, but it is a change of pace from other titles on the current market. I like the free running feeling, although I still think that Crysis 2 does it way smoother. Give it some time though. With a couple of fixes and more time playing it, you could find your niche and actually enjoy it. Actually, I like all the games that are encouraging the free running style as in this game, mirrors edge, and Crysis also.

How does crysis 2 have free running? Because you can sprint and jump?
If so then almost every game have free running by that standard.

Crysis 2 is like all canned animations, no wonder it feels smoother. Sliding in Crysis 2 totally svcked when I played, if you got shot while getting some speed to actually do a slide would stop you in your tracks and you'll look like a crouching idiot instead of actually.. you know, sliding.

Actually, there is no difference in the way that you vault over objects and climb to vantage points in the two games other than like I said Crysis is smoother. Have you actually played Crysis 2? If so, then why the question? I like them both, but Crysis is far superior. I hasve played through the entire campaign of Crysis nearly twice and it is definitely free running. As much so as even Mirrors Edge and the graphics are way more crisp. Not trying to start a comparison, just saying that they have similar characteristics.
