I downloaded OBSE v0018 today, and am getting round to installing it now, but I'm not sure how. I'm reading the readme and it isn't helping much.
It says I need to put it where my launcher is and such, but I don't know where that it, and when iI thought i found it it ended up with all my screenshots.
So where do I put it? Because it really is beyond me. Help will come with many thanks.
By the way, I'm not using OMM, Wrye Bash or anything like that.

Dump everything into the base Oblivion directory (which if you have the disc version, it will be C:\(folder varies)\Bethesda Softworks\oblivion), run the loader, and if a command prompt window appears followed by the game launching, OBSE is running.

When I extract it using 7zip, it comes up with an error that a whole bunch of files (including the loader) could not be copied.

Try moving the zip file to a new folder and using the "extract here" right click command on the file (under the 7zip menu). If that doesn't work, your download is corrupt.

Once you do get a version downloaded that isn't corrupt, you'll find this useful. :foodndrink:

Hmmm.... No.
I must be doing something wrong, heres what I'm doing
DL'ing OBSE 0018 to my downloads folder
Extracting all to the downloads folder
then I'm extracting the obse_loader, obse_1_2_416 and obse_1_2 to my Oblivion directory,
but when I click the obse_loader it comes up with command prompt and saying 'Could not find OBSE DLL (C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\obse_1_2_416.dll). Please make sure you have OBSE installed correctly and are running it from your Oblivion folder'.

Read the tutorial I linked above. Sounds like your failing to copy some of the files it needs into your Oblivion directory. Just take everything inside the OBSE folder and copy it into Oblivion folder.
