Ever since I've started modding Oblivion this has been getting on my nerves. I search for armor mods for my characters, guess what, 90% of those are METAL BIKINIS. And these all have LOTS of endorsemants on tesnexus! What is WRONG with these people? I LIKE the original armor for females. Because it makes SENSE. These skirts that are made out of metal that reveal vital body parts do NOT make sense. If you went into battle as a female wearing this, you'd either 1. Be killed VERY fast or 2. Be overpowered by a male easily, taken prisoner and [censored] 50 times and then get your head cut off. Because THAT'S the way it works.

I know this isn't real life, but I still can't understand why these mods, which one of the most popular ever is that body mod that lets your characters go around in the nvde and I am sure that 90% of the people downloading that are males that touch themselves to these nvde Argonians with huge briasts (Which doesn't even make sense, their reptiles). I'm just sick of it. All these perverts who only download the game to look at nvde females or dress up their 4 foot tall anime asian female in Daedric skirts, I can't stand them.

I understand the work that goes into the mods, and some people like them, but still. I wish they would work on something everybody could enjoy, except just the people who play female characters.

I dont play modded oblivion, but I dont see any problem with those type of mods :hubbahubba:

I heard that some people add them to improve immersion. Never really thought that myself but hey.
I did download Robert's Female Body mod, not the nvde version though.
I'll probably be downloading a male body mod too. It just makes them look more realistic and appealing.

If anything, having nvde females all over the place would be very distracting.

Sirius, I see your point. If I were to play on PC, I wouldn't use those mods. Heck, I played Morrowind on the PC with a ton of mods. The only one I used that was even remotely sixual was Better Bodies which allowed characters to be nvde. I used that for immersion, and the fact that many of the clothing mods I used relied on Better Bodies. Now, in all of the clothing mods I used I think there were about 5 or 6 "sixy" outfits that the more shall we say "free" characters wore when they went out to the Inn's/Bars drinking. Much the same as some women might do in real life.

However, Tamriel is, to all extents and purposes, another world to us. We create our characters and we live or guide them through their lives. So what's to say that certain characters might not enjoy running around in the nvde, or wearing revealing clothing. Some people enjoy that IRL, so surely our in game characters might enjoy that too?

Armour sets that are merely straps to cover genitalia (and still provide AR) are, on the other hand, completely unfathomable to me. I can't for the life of me see how anyone would get any sort of immersion from that. But, people are different, and things like that might fit within their RP.

Just my stance on the matter.

All this is actually limited to modded games and modders. I would've put it in the mods section of the forum, as it bears absolutely no relevance to us console gamers. We simply don't have that problem.

Besides, you shouldn't either. I dislike Justin Biebers music, am I asking him to kill himself? No. I just avoid his work. I stay out of his way, he stays out of mine.

You do the same. Just because it's available for download, doesn't mean you have to download it. It's there, so? Ignore it. Simple.

Does it matter what other people make as mods? The OP doesn't like them, there is nothing to force you to download them, just skip over them until you find a mod you do like and want to use.

Agreed. I prefer to have the choice to play as I want and really don't need others to dictate my morals.

I like the body mods thanks. While I'm busy beautifying every other aspect of my game, why would I leave NPC and my players bodies and over all looks the odd men out? Vanilla in a stunning modded world.

You don't like them? Don't use them but kindly don't make disgusting generalizations about the rest of us who do appreciate them solely based on your own narrow morality.

But what the OP says is that she does ignore these mods. She's looked for some other armor mods that aren't so revealing, which simply aren't to be found. Even though I'm a console gamer, I can certainly relate.

It's mostly due to Hollywood, not just males sitting behind their consoles drooling. You see, there's tons of movies that put female warriors in these skimpy outfits. I would agree that it's annoying that one can't find as many mods that create full-body armor like in vanilla.

In the spirit of living and letting live, I don't have a problem with other users enjoying those mods. I personally don't use them, but have no problem with others finding them good.

Everyone plays this game with a different objective (which may not be yours) - I play for fun, but am increasingly trying immersion and realism, therefore those mods do not appeal to me. Others play for other purposes.

Chalk this down to a difference of opinion, and show some maturity by displaying tolerance. This is akin to real life where people may make different choices than you (everything from politics, sixual orientation, food choices, religion, fashion, you name it) - we don't go about hating those people, now do we? We develop tolerance, and the motto is to be live and let live...
