After Extensive playing, here is my Review/Opinion

It's good to know it was GameStop's error and not Splash Damage's, though.

You may not be kicking that horse when it's down, but you sure are keeping it from getting up.

I'm sorry, but what? Pun missed.

I joined this community before you did, tyvm, and I'm only hating on the people in it who hate on me.

I paid 60 bucks for a game that svcks and I'll be damned if I don't get at least a month of entertainment out of it, even if it means sticking around here and expressing my distaste.

fine but i liked the game.....

Yeah. My main game is Halo: Reach, though, and at this point I won't even play Brink anymore.

I play Halo Reach too. Just started a few days ago. Played a lot of Halo 3,(Since Launch) which right now I still prefer to Halo Reach. I'd give Brink more of a chance...it is very fun. I write game articles for an online publication. Your review did not have much in the way of positive thoughts. I've played Brink online with other people and the guys I play with love it. So it has something to offer. It is not like Halo Reach, so I'd say stick to Halo if you aren't looking for a team-based game. The only real place you will find team-based strategy in Halo Reach is in MLG tournaments. You can't be a lone wolf in Brink like you can in Halo. So I'd say stick to that. You should reserve judgement on Brink until after you really put some time into it is what I was initially trying to convey when I said that you didn't play it enough.

You didn't like it enough to keep it? Or did it break already?

Wasn't my intention. Was just trying to figure out where the problem was at, as some games ship the pre-order bonus with the game.

Saying I never played it and saying I didn't play it enough are two very different things.

My review is based almost all facts unless it's obvious where I put my opinion in. Yes, the respawns can be long. Yes, all colors on customization are pre-set. Yes, the AI only rushes and doesn't help much. It's not the fact that it's a team based game that bothers me, it's the fact that it's a broken team game. From what I experienced it devolved into nothing more than grouping up with as many people as possible and rushing. And btw, whenever I play Halo nowadays it's with a team of friends, and team-based strategy is the only way we know how to play. I'm not quite able to comprehend what all this "lone-wolf" stuff even means. When you say a "Lone wolf game" do you mean one that takes individual skill to be good at? Because Halo does require a ton more than Brink does. That doesn't mean we can't work as a team, though.

It's hard to express in words how much I dislike Call of Duty. That is one seriously annoying thing I hear from these forums. Fyi, the majority of the people I know who actually bought this game came from a game called Halo, of which you don't seem to know exist. Get the hell out of here with your stupid trolling "ooooh u liek CoD gtho we dun wunt ur kind 'round here neways" crap, because I don't need it. Call of Duty isn't the only game in existence, and it certainly isn't the best.

CoD sure is better then Halo though, so your point is kinda moot :/

Oh no! You think CoD is better than Halo! I'm so sorry, Mister Lord of the Universe, for disagreeing with you! You just keep making people's points moot, because your word is LAW.

Team + objective based mp fps are relatively new. When I see more MAG (the epitome of team based objective mp fps) players complaining about the team based objectives on Brink, then I'll give it a little more attention.

I played MAG back when it came out. The amount of players it could support was insane. Sadly, the game died down pretty quickly, and it was a bit lopsided because one army had a ton more people playing it than the other two. I get your point, though.

This game would be much better if it had a lobby system and more gametypes. I'm starting to get bored playing by myself :(
