I've been wondering, are there any end time-type prophecies in the Elder Scrolls that we know of? I know that in the LOTR series there's the Battle of Dagor Dagorath, in which Morgoth will break the Door of Night, and attack the free people of Middle-Earth, but what about in the Elder Scrolls?

Alduin. World-eating. The plot of Skyrim. It is, at least, one possible world-ending scenario.

Yep, basically Alduin is the end to all things.

That's pretty much it, or MD comes in and destroyed Nirn. But mainly Alduin.

One of the biggest themes in TES is that of the world being made and destroyed. Lorkhan has the world made, and Alduin destroys it.

What I wonder about is how if Lorkhan's creation of the world is supposed to be an act of trickery, how does it work on the et'Ada every single kalpa? Does each kalpa start from the division of the universe into Anu and Padomay, or the formation of the first et'Ada?

I'm not sure about the latter questions and would be interested in the answers myself. But for the former, trickery is only one of the ways Lorkhan is said to have created the world.
I suppose they don't fall for the same tricks every time, instead being coerced or convinced... But after three cycles roll around, amnesia is probably hitting them pretty hard.

The only way to break this cycle is for Lorkhan or Akatosh to come forth themselves to break rule, but nobody has yet grown the god-balls to step it up to see what would happen if such thing were to occur.

Wait, so are you guys actually saying that Skyrim will be the last Elder Scrolls game? Or is it possible that Nirn will be reborn, kind of like the Bible says that the earth will be reborn in the end times?

We will presumably be preventing Alduin from eating the world and, thus, breaking the cycle.

Ohh, okay. Man, MK is insane at writing this stuff!! If only he could give me tips on how to make great stories like this for my games.

EDIT - So the Elder Scroll that contains all this must be re-written, correct?

What? No! They only say of an event, not the outcome and details. Even then, the elder scrolls differ amongst the reader. Not sure if an elder scroll foretold this upcoming event, but if it did, it would just pretty much hint that Alduin is going to awaken, and the last dragonborn must stop him, or something like that. However, the details about the dragonborn are muddled. One person may see a grand warrior, another would see a sadistic healer, and another could see a necromancy.

Also, here's a good way to think of the elder scrolls

The elder scrolls (game), tells of an event (the MQ), and a hero that'll stop it. However, the events that play out differ amongst the readers (player).

Oh, I see. I forgot about the trailer, where the narrator says that "The Elder Scrolls told of their return", and explains the truth dawning in fire, then talks about "the one they fear", Dovahkiin.

This defeat will merley be another delay.

Had a Telvanni argonian, who would shove diseases down a slave's throat, and see how long it would take to cure it. Had to resist, and kill at the right amount of time. Not too slow, or else it could be cured eventually, but not too fast.

That's healing? I guess you meant the class healer, eh?

Oh, he can heal, he just chooses to also make others sick at the same time. He's also insane. It's more funny that way, as the hero of the dunmer is an unstable argonian.
