Jonarus_Drakus' New Towns

"BRINA CROSS"

I have always been rather confused by the complete lack of agriculture in Cyrodiil, especially considering its extensive population... I had been wondering about just how to 'rectify' this discrepancy, when I happened upon an map of Tamriel... On this map, not only were there the major provincial & district cities, but also a multitude of 'small settlements', some of which are easily recognised as such in oblivion. However, some others were either not included at all or only represented by a lone "Inn" (that apparently had no reason to exist beyond the desire to occupy the location). Hence began my "New Towns" project...

Beginning with this, my expanded farming community of Brina Cross. The Inn remains as remembered, but is now merely one part of a small but thriving rural community, no longer is the area something to simply ride (or run) past, but a worthy place to stop to relax and take in the country life. Visit the Shrine to Kynareth, or take in the incredible views of Anvil and the Gold Coast from atop the local watchtower!

The Future
Brina Cross is only the first of a series that I am planning on, once Brina Cross has been completed to my satisfaction, I shall move on to expanding and/or adding other locations (I am open to suggestions - but please direct them to the forum thread linked above):

> Faregyl Village (location is rather obvious)
> Harms Folly (I'm thinking of using there area near Roland Jenseric's Cabin - looks nice enough...)

I will "add" the respective downloads and other relevant info here as i make the 'extra' mods in this short series.

It's an interesting project. I do not know if you've noticed about this mod of Arthmoor on Faregyl:http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21562.

I've seen Arthmoor's excellent work before (and have even downloaded Faregyl before). His work (and that of several others, AFK Weye for example) has also served as inspiration for this project. And while players would obviously have to choose which mod to use as they would obviously be incompatible, that is not a reason not to make my own version. Nothing wrong with a few extra options now is there?

I'll be interested to see how this compares to http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21562. His is one of my favorites, I run all of his villages mods.

Effectively it's always nice to have a choice even if sometimes it's hard to choose between two good mods. You've taken a good reference for you inhale (AFK_Weye is really great). So I'd like to know if you plan to do some quests in those villages that do have hardly any in vanilla?
