Slight Bug That's Starting to Really Annoy Me

Post » Mon Apr 25, 2011 11:00 pm

Okay, most of you probably don't have this problem but for the few of us that do it's probably getting old real fast.

Like everyone else I put in my Pre-Order code and started the game. I made my character, used a Tattoo I knew I wanted on, and that was that. Then my friend got home and gave me his Pre-Order code since he didn't really want it. I used it, got back on after downloading it and... Now my "Appearance" is in a never ending "Flashflashflashflashflash". My only guess is that it's trying to tell me I have a new Tattoo, but since I can't even SEE my tattoos now I can't get rid of it.
Didn't really bother me at first but now I'm sitting here with my level 16 character and I'm seriously debating whether or not I want to just delete him and get it over with, or have it flash at me forever/they fix it. (Whichever comes first.)

Again not a big bug, but it would be real nice if this got fixed.

I don't have the body tattoos option. I go to Appearance, both Resistance and Security, there is nothing anywhere that has a yellow exclamation mark like normal. And I've even cycled through every single list just to make sure.

Just wondering. Have you gone to create a new character? Since that is where you choose tattoo's you should see the new preorder there. Select it and all that even if you delete the character at least it should stop letting you know there is something new.

Pls let us know if this works... it should

First thing I thought of, tried it and it didn't work. Thing is each character is it's own and looking through things doesn't effect the other characters at all.

And it's not really a bug... more of an oversight and a reason why Tattoos should NOT be permanent.

Did SD ever really explain why tattoos were permanent anyways? I don't see how "realism" would play a part, considering you can alter the character's bodytype on the fly. If my guy can sporadically triple his weight for no reason, I don't see why he can't get the surgery required to remove some ink.

I never really saw a real reason for it. Just that they've had it like that for awhile. They were also saying that body types would be permanent or cost skill points or something too, which was just plain ridiculous.

No it must be a bug cause I had a similar pre-order.

Pre-ordered at Best buy but as usual they knew nothing about the bonus code. Had no faith so pre-ordered through Steam.

day 1 played and all. Day 2 went to get the pre-order from best buy (expecting to cancel when they did not have a pre-order card in the box) and low and behold it was there. Yes I did purchase 2 copies JUST to have the fallout bonus!

Appearance tab blinked... made a 2nd character with that tattoo. Does not blink anymore for either character that I have noticed.
