Cliff Hangers were definitely annoying due to how many they were and it seemed on Morrowind that the hit box on that stuff was way off.

Nothing was more horrifying in Oblivion for me than being stuck inside that artwork with the dang paint trolls.

That was so epic! I forgot about that quest.

Ah, memories...

Haha, I had to herd them all to a large rock I was standing on to kill them.

Rabid peguins.

Hell yeah!

And a big YES for cheese elementals. Man that is a brillant idea.

But anything that had the ability to cast burden, I found that to be the absolute worst thing in the game. Had to drop so much damn good loot. :banghead:

Morrowind has mudcrabs...

I vote for no annoying creatures. just challenging ones

Morrowind does indeed have mudcrabs, and also slaughterfish (Like cliffracers except in water, and if you set foot into water, they WILL come.) and greater bonewalkers (Honestly, I think they're worse than cliffracers, because cliffracers can't damage you're strength to the point where you can't even move without dropping all of your equipment.).

And I really didn't think mudcrabs were that bad in Oblivion, what really got to me was will-o'-the-wisps, damage attribute spells combined with being able to become completely invisible except when casting spells or attacking did not make for a pleasant combination.

I also agree, I'd rather no annoying creatures, but that's probably too much to hope for. It seems that developers just can't resist putting some enemy into a game that seems to exist only to annoy players, or maybe they don't try, but it still inevitably happens in a game with as many enemy types as an Elder Scrolls game is likely to have, I guess it's hard to ensure every foe you face is fun to fight if you have so many to work with. But reduce the amount of different enemy types, and it gets repetitive because you're always fighting the same enemies, and repetition is one of the factors that is likely to create annoying enemies, so either way, there's going to be some sort of annoying foe, but what kind it will be only playing the game will tell.

Oblivion has mudcracbs.

I disagree, I'd say Will-o-Wisps were Oblivion's "annoying" enemies.

Anyways to be counted as an annoying enemy, the creature has to be hard to kill but not particularly powerful and show up a lot. :)

Damn those Cliff Hangers... you just didn't know what they would do next! :D

Actually goblins were sometimes really annoying.

Cliff racers weren't hard to kill. They just showed up so often. For the most common showing up enemy that wasn't like a wolf or a rat, I'd give that to an imp. They're annoying because they have ranged. I found them constantly when in anywhere but the Jerall mountains or Blackwood.

high level goblins had to be the most annoying creatures in Oblivion. They took sooooooo friggin long to beat down.
I don't mind Bethesda bringing back the leveling system from Oblivion, but I hope they put level caps on certain enemies.
Goblins shouldn't be capable of causing more frustration than the daedra
