Mod Detectives 118

Post » Thu May 12, 2011 5:33 am

Is there a mod that increases pickpocketing success chances? Cause my character has 100 sneak, agility and chameleon, but somehow I still can never steal non-zero weight items from sleeping npcs. Just earlier I was trying to steal a steel sword from a follower to force him to use the enchanted one I gave him (he's really attached to that crappy sword for some reason) and it took me 9 reloads to finally nab the damn thing. That's just ridiculous. I'm a master thief and I can't take a sword from a sleeping npc? There's gotta be a mod that fixes that.

What is the least "human-looking" playable race out there? I have found Drake the Dragon's Dragons but they are unfinished and don't seem like they will be any time soon and Toaster's playable creatures look a little too buggy.

Is there still a mod that stops all npc's from leveling with you? i.e. Bandits will never wear Deadric. It was just a small mod, don't want a huge overhaul for this playthrough. Thanks.

Is there a mod that makes killing innocent npcs with poison or reverse-pickpocketed poisoned apples and/or cursed zero-weight equipment count as murder? It's kinda ridiculous how easy it is to cheat the system and kill anyone you want without having it counted against you as a murder.

I'm looking for a mod that allows You to drop lit torches. I know there are lots of them, but it would be nice to have some recommendation from someone who uses them.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16282 works really well.

Hello!

Looking for a concealed dagger. That is, not visible when sheathed. Anyone remember to have seen one or should I try a [req]-post?

Cheers! Oom

Any carpet retextures?
I'm using a smegload of texture replacers but the floor carpets look hideously ugly compared to most of the rest of the game.

^Seconded- carpet, tapestry, other miscellany texture replacers/overhauls.

Speaking of home improvement. Is there any mod that has a good scrubbing a and a can of paint for the in game player homes? A few of them could do with a spring cleaning.
Basically some nicer wall and floor textures. I have a feeling this might be a little tricky to mod.

I half remember a mod that made it so NPCs who get killed near me do not count as murder on my part. This would be really handy in my game, since I have random NPCs wandering around, as well as bandits near them.
So far, I have about 15 murders, and I have only just started A Knife In The Dark(the DB joining quest, which requires one murder).

Does anyone know of a good mod to fix SI level scaling?

I'm a long and keen user of OOO, and after 4 years of playing Oblivion I still haven't played SI properly. The main thing that keeps putting me off is it seems too easy after being hooked on OOO. I need good ole static-ness.

My research suggests that Frans can be used. Is there any others? Or is this adequately similar to OOO's effects?

Any advice for a forum lurker like myself from you seasoned guys, about decent SI mods?

You may want to look into http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34245. It's rather new, but it's pretty darn good.

I'm looking for a mod that edits Hermaus Mora's quest to include races from RBP. Does such a mod exist?

Heya Mod Detectives!
I've had a good luck on TESNexus, but I just can't seem to find a mod that adds a hat that's similar to a fedora.
If you don't know what a fedora is, it looks like http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.yorkblog.com/flipside/fedora_felt_hat.jpeg&imgrefurl=http://www.yorkblog.com/flipside/2008/12/&usg=__ER2HDRt26QGMZ_rfR35lGuV7iXU=&h=348&w=399&sz=76&hl=xx-pirate&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=EZfcC-ZQu0aRiM:&tbnh=146&tbnw=167&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dfedora%26hl%3Dxx-pirate%26biw%3D1276%26bih%3D767%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=375&oei=mWLJTKnSMMXpOe7RyIUB&page=1&ndsp=23&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:0&tx=85&ty=45.

I have a vague memory of a de-gore mod for the oblivion part of the game, made by an Irish lady iirc.

If it's just blood, there's a bashed patch tweak for it now. Under Tweak Actors, it's the only one to mention bloody creatures.
Gotta love the ease of just including it in a bashed patch, eh?

I am trying to find a mod that I used to have, but no longer remember the name. It's a simple mod that basically adds more immersion to the Mythic Dawn faction by placing lore friendly notes that give some more background information about them as you progress through the main quest.
