Blackrose Prison : The Elder Scrolls Series Discussion

Hi all. My first post in this, the most formidable of sub-forums here. So I apologise if this has been asked before, or anything like that.

Anyway, I've been doing a bit of searching at The Imperial Library for information regarding Blackrose Prison. Notably the prison break that is mentioned in the third edition PGE, under The War With The Trees (section on Black Marsh).

More troubling is the recent prison break at the formidable Blackrose Prison. Though it has since been sealed and its weak points mended, some of the worst murderers, thieves, and political revolutionaries had already escaped into the swamps. It is believed unlikely that any of them could have survived the cruel, dangerous lands of inner Black Marsh.

I've been having quite a few ideas for a piece of fiction to write about this, however, I've not been able to find much information at all. Is there any more? Or have I actually done a thorough search?

For instance, does anyone know when the prison break occured?

As far as I know that's the only mention of it. The ideas behind it and the other plot-hooks in that pocketguide have probably mostly been abandoned with the 200 year skip in time and all, so the details are up for grabs.

I'd say, think of Blackrose of Alcatraz, except instead of being surrounded by dangerous waters, it's surrounded by a swamp that'll kill anyone whose not an argonian.

Oh no, I get that. I'm just struggling with when the actual escape was. Is there an estimate or anything? Or is it totally up in the air?

Well, given that the prison has supposedly been mended and upgraded, the outbreak must have occured several months to a year at least before the 3rd pge was written.
