Tsaesci in Skyrim

Thank you. I couldn't picture it while writing that. Of course the only reason i know lorica segmentia is that I own a replica suit.
Nice. I dunno where the idea that the Blades Armor is totally Asian came from, other than they had katanas. Sure the gauntlets, boots, and pants can be seen as Asian influenced, but the main parts (body and helm) are extremely Roman influenced.

May have to do with some people REALLY wanting Asian stuff everywhere.

Very true. I will admit, Chinese and Japanese Armor is very impressive. I've also noticed wearable replica's are extremely expensive.

Sure I know this isn't entirely related, but it really bugged me. The Blades Armor is closer to Roman Lorica Segmentia than anything oriental. I cant speak for the Bracers, Sabatons and Helm though. Or the Shield for that matter. it just looks like a stylized round shield, possibly covered with metal sheeting. The Most common shields were Oak or Hickory planks, with a metal band and metal sheeting over the face. Better to catch an arrow than deflect it into your partner. Same with spears/pilum/javalin.

Wasn't it established that the Akavir have much less skill forging/wearing armor? I read it in the book that describes the duel between the Emperors son and the Potentate's son. So I would expect the Blades to incorporate the superior weapons that were brought to Tamriel, but opt to wear their own armor.

Actually... I may have been way wrong. I can't remember, but I think the ghosts at Pale Pass had the same armor the Blades do. I guess it is Akaviri (is that the correct spelling for the adjective?) armor, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me, given what I wrote above.

No, the Tsaesci favor dodging and attacking than blunt defense. I would imagine the Lorica Segmentia the Tsaesci brought over is more about ease of movement with defense than wearing a heavy dense briastplate. I would imagine, then, the soldiers of Pale Pass and the Blades favor more movement in their fighting style than someone in full plate.

Ah. Maybe. The History of the Fighter's Guild also states the Akavir might have succeeded in conquering Tamriel had they a Nord smith in their service.

If Akavir has a prominent position in a game, I would think that it would be nothing less than the entire point of the game.

Agreed. You can't really sprinkle in Akavir.
Their invasion will probably be the first expansion in the inevitable TES:MMO. :nope: :yuck:  :bonk:

IF Tsaesci are to appear in Skyrim, I'd much prefer it was in a DLC, like "Return to Pale Pass", or something like that.
