3 Star Tower Challenge!

Post » Sun May 22, 2011 5:36 am

I thought I had all the challenges done 3 stars. But I do not have the 3 Star Tower. Any good advice? I have trouble when the heavies roll in. Around 7 minute mark.

Drop Dead's Pro-Tips for Tower Defence:

-Being S.M.A.R.T. won't save you when your outgunned and outnumbered. A good camping spot is the walkway directly behind the Command post.

-Always have a mine next to the post so that even if you die, it will take them a little longer to capture.

-The walkway behind the Command post has a bridge that connects... Place a turret facing the Command post on the bridge and let it do its duty for once.

-Pick off the enemies the turret can't reach.

-Don't consider any bodytype other then Heavy.

-Use the Hjammerdeim (Heavy shotgun) for up close encounters and the Euston with the Grenade Launcher attachment.

-During stage one, fire a grenade as soon as you see the enemy appear from the First door. It will disorient them and you can pick them off one by one.

-Keep to your camp zone and refill on ammo whenever you can.

Those should help. ;)

I just poped a turret at a bottom level corner, just outside my spawn exit. There is plenty of room there for cover with the box's and you can just pick them off. Was super ez.

I did this fairly easily with a med body type.
Just equipped two SMGS as the tower arena is all close quarters so they have the advantage. I had extended mags on both the SMGs, one had 60 bullets per clip, the other 45. I Placed a mine on the top of one of the stairs. I Made sure before each wave of enemies I had full ammo on each gun by quickly entering and leaving the command post. Stay around the command post at all times as it is high ground, and has excellent lines of sight down several of the enemy spawn points. Use their spawn corridors as choke points, so you can take them out quickly before they have even entered the arena, then switch to your secondary gun to take out the other spawn wave attacking from another point. I hip fired probably 90% of the time. Died twice I think, the second time was on the very last wave, but I managed to get back and kill the enemies before they could capture my command post.
