I think hacking could do with a slight boost, or Engineer removal of hackboxes slowed slightly, but not by much. Do YOUR job, don't try to change it so everyone's job is the same.
As it stands, Operatives can turn turrets against their owners, and almost completely invalidate enemy mines. But the best use for Disguise isn't "appear behind enemy and kill." That's not what it's about. You CAN do it if you're better at shooters than the other guy (and I'll admit, I once managed to wipe the entire enemy team as a Light Operative in solo play on Normal), but I don't recommend relying on it. When your teammates are making a push for an objective, use the distraction to chip away at the most important people on the field - aim for their Medics, and any mission-critical targets. Or do it the other way around and get the entire enemy team shooting you right before your teammates turn the corner - when the enemies are facing the wrong way, your team has an advantage in the approaching fight.
Your purpose isn't specifically KILLING, it's causing CHAOS in the enemy ranks. When they don't know who to aim for, and they're losing their Medics, or the guys they need for the objective, you're doing your job right, whether you survive the effort or not. Do what the team needs, not what you feel like. My latest trick for "WTF?"-ing enemies is to Disguise, join the main enemy group, and toss Caltrops in the middle of the group. SO MUCH free XP!
