Manimarco in Oscuro's oblivion overhaul

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 11:50 am

Hey i am currently a level 9 Breton mage and am preparing to fight mannimarco for the mages guild questline. I am journeyman in conjuration, destruction, restoration, and Alchemy. I have 2 pretty good shock spells ( one target, one touch) that do about 55-65 damage. I also have summon diminutive Minotaur (from Lame mod), corrode weapon, and restore major wounds. I have 3 greater powers, Dragon skin, Magicka Manifold, and Gates of Aetherius. I'm bringing many silence, paralyze, damage health/magicka, and restore health/magicka potions. I also have a weapon that gives weakness to magicka 22% for 5 sec.

Am I ready to face him??
Any tips from people who have beaten him??
Any suggestions to what i should also bring along with me??
Spell recommendations to beat him?

Thanks guys

You are not prepared...

Good grief you are not prepared.

You're fighting the OOO version right?

My best advice is to go do some other quests and level up about ten more times.

Seems like too low level to me. It will be annoying just to get at him on that level. He's also rather tough - it's a good idea to have high Resist Magic or equivalent against his spell casting. He has high resistance to most of everything. Plus he runs around a lot so can be annoying to try to hit in melee or with touch spells. I'd wait until c. Lvl 15 or something like that.

The only way I see that you could beat him is... umm... nothing. Unless you count God Mode.

Level up at least 10 more times (and even that might not be enough), as Hairdo Galosh Jam said.

Make some potions of resistance, you must carry a potion of invisibility if your plan to kill him fails, he is pretty much invulnerable to magic, you must kill him quickly so trying getting poisons that can paralyze him or reduce his resistances temporarily that might give you a chance to take him out before he does anything, magicka drain or damage effects might be of use however he is guarded by magic reflect that is deadly to you.
Risks of doing anything that might disable is that it might backfire.
Getting magic reflect to a high percentage chance for a brief moment will probably give you the opening
