[REQ] Dungeon transition tiles

Post » Mon May 16, 2011 6:37 pm

Hey guys, so I'm building a dungeon for Oblivion, and to make things interesting, I'd like to have my Ayleid ruin have areas where the tunnels have collapsed and you have to traverse through a short cave section, before leading you back into the ruin.

The problem is, the cave and ruin tilesets don't exactly link together very well. :(

If any of you are familiar with the Fallout 3 (or New Vegas) G.E.C.K, there's occasionally parts of dungeons where, for example, an office building has collapsed and leads you into the sewers, or a Vault has a collapsed wall, revealing a bit of cave.

That's basically what I'm looking for. I've looked all over TESNexus, with no luck, which is surprising! I would've thought for sure this kind of thing would be done before.

So, can anybody help a brother out? :)

Combining cave and Ayleid meshes can be done with a little ingenuity. Bethesda used the two together in Sideways Cave, to great effect.

Hey, you're right.

It's not exactly what I'm after, but it's a good starting point. :)
