Hold X, spin around like an idiot.

I like the game a lot. I think the flow of matches is great, teamplay is excellent, as well as objectives being clear enough for people that they actually get them done. However, with that said, my biggest gripe so far (besides lag that will hopefully be patched asap) is when you activate something by holding X, the game locks you into a sprint towards whatever it is you activated on. For example: Operatives performing a disguise, or Medics handing out a buff. It's handled in the same way that Halo 2 handled swords.

I have had many, many situations where I'll hold X to disguise and my guy just spins around in circles trying to locate his target who is right below his feet. I even had one laggy match where I attempted a disguise while the player i was targeting respawned. I flew across the map, past the enemy camp's turrets to locate the player. It's wierd and sloppy.

It's probably too late to fix an issue like this with a patch too, which is the real bummer. It means Brink will ALWAYS have issues with this. For such a great game, that probably won't get a sequel, it's sad really.

real early to say it wont get a sequel. also sequels are more based around commercial success than consumer praise. Once game gets to a decent patched status, should be excellent in most everyones mind. Dont see why they couldnt easily patch this issue either...

SD made ETQW. ETQW svcked with bugs and the such at first but now its an amazing game that many people love.

Same will probably happen to brink, give it a few Patches and DLC's and it will be up there.

Yeah I dont like that auto train ride, everything should just be thrown immediately. Also it should be easier to activate that action button, you gotta aim too much at the objective or a person. Which is really annoying when you want to perform something really fast. It doesn't keep the fast pace this game normally has.
They should change it to just press X/Square once instead of holding it for a few seconds.

they should do the x once but only for disguise, for hacking an objective it should be hold, because its unfair to the your team or the other team, depending on your side, but yea the turret placement i hate, i play sometimes with small body type, and i can NEVER put a turret out, i always die 3/4 of the way through being all AI's pwn once u reach 15+, so lvl 19 is worse when i solo.

the problem with that is then you'll perform an interaction instead of reload when you're trying to reload.

Ok true, but for me a revive is much more important than a reload. With the 'only press once' I was talking about revives, buffs and ammo sharing btw :)
