mossington w/o attachments
CARB-9 w/ muzzle, red dot, sling, and drum

I'm curious, did you have a hard time getting used to the mossington? I really want to use it but I really can't bring the pain with it.

dragonuv (whatever they call it)

red dot
rapid fire
muzzle break

Seems pretty pointless to have Rapid Fire at the cost of stability, considering the Drognav can fire faster than it takes to settle between shots... even with standard mag and a Muzzle Break to increase stability, spamming the trigger as fast as I can causes sights to start kicking higher than the initial shot.

I mostly run with the Galactic. Speed Sling, Yeo-tek, Silencer, and until now I've used High Capacity Mags - am trying out Drums today though.

I don't dare use the Galactic w/ Suppressor, it's the weakest SMG as it is... if I'm using it, I'll silence whatever other weapon I'm using (AR or pistol). Drum Mag is pretty useful since reload speed is still really quick, it just doesn't look as awesome as the extended mag IMO.

I've been trying out all sorts of things but have pretty much come to conclusion that in this game, you're at a SEVERE disadvantage using anything that isn't fully auto. But anyway, here's my top 3.

Gerund AR
  • Yeotek
  • Front Grip
  • Four-Vent Muzzle
  • Drum Mags

This thing is ridiculous, 60 rounds that do so much damage and has such good stability. If you burst it it's just ridiculous, and you have enough rounds to get through 3 people easily even if you spray. The headshot dmg can drop a guy so quickly and with it's low-recoil, if someone is running at you they are as good as dead. I'd even go so far as to say this is the best rifle in the game.

Rhett AR
  • Yeotek
  • Front Grip
  • Silencer
  • Drum Mags

This is just what I use to fart around with really, it sounds good with the silencer and has barely any recoil.

Carb-9 SMG
  • Yeotek
  • Front Grip
  • Down-Vent Muzzle
  • Drum Mags

The SMG that packs a punch, nice rate of fire and just never really need to aim to be honest. The hip-fire spread isn't too bad and the speed you get with it is great.

All in all, I don't quite see why you guys are choosing to use the duct-tape mags or the extended mags where the drums are available. Being able to constantly fire and also maintain a good rate of accuracy is just far too good. I've tried some of the slower-ROF rifles and had some success to some degree. But when people are sliding everywhere and can trip you up in doing so, it's just not worth the hassle.

As for why no drum mags, I reload my weapon way much more often than I actually run out of ammo. Given, in Brink you can cancel reload by doing anything but in most games you can't and usually faster reload will save my ass way more often than more ammo capacity.

Well you're right in the sense that you can't really spam the trigger in the same way you can with a rokstedi, for example. But you can still shoot a little faster than you would without rapid fire and have the sights settle down. It's not massively faster or anything though. But you could be right, I'll give it a shot without the rapid fire.

I put rapid fire on the Drognav when I'm using it with my Light, just in case I need to spam bullets up close. But yeah... for sniping? I don't think there's a reason for rapid fire there.

Hmm, depends on body size I guess.

Heavy : Gatling gun as a primary and the Doom smg with Adjusted Iron Sights, hi-cap magazine, foregrip, and Six vent muzzle break.

Light : Doom smg (same as above) as a primary, and the MP as a secondary with a hi-cap magazine, muzzle break, and Adjusted Iron sights.

I haven't really played medium yet though.
