I just started a game of Arena today. My character is a woodelf archer. I have just a few questions about things that aren't clear to me on this game.

1. Why does any armor I can use give me a negative AR? Is it disadventageous to wear armor in this game or just my character type?

2. Where is fang lair? Everyone tells me either they don't know or ask the temple or look in the wilderness of Hammerfall. How am I supposed to know which region I am in?

The lower your Armour rating the better protected you are, for eg: A character with +8 to armour rating is less protected than a character with +2. The lower the numbers the more protection you have -4 is even better.

I'm not sure how to find Fang Lair as I haven't played Arena for a while, I *think I just kept questioning the npcs, somebody else should be able to help you on that one.

EDIT: AFAIK, it tells you on the map which province you are in.

And to bring up the continental map you need to press shift+M.
