Just bought brink! Some questions and opinions

Post » Fri May 20, 2011 11:32 am

I only read about Brink last night and I fell in love with the concept. I HAD heard of it but I took no notice. I will be playing a lot next week with MIC if anyone wants to add me on PSN (Mezmerr)

So far I love the game a lot! I noticed quite a few people having issues with the game on forums (Turrets too weak, lights too strong, lights too weak, no players, lag ect) But I have to say I haven't experienced these issues yet myself.

You can chose to only fight with players
I haven't experienced MUCH lag (PS3)
Turrets are weak and they do take a while to aim but use them as additional def in a really good spot and they can be deadly I'v found so far...Although I'v had so little xp with them (played an hour only!)

I had a few questions i'v been wondering if anyone could help me out with too-

-I completed a challenge (twice); the one where you fix the robot as an engineer till it gets to the end. I done it twice on coop and it still hasn't ticked to say complete or gave me the upgrades (such as red dot sight). Anyone else experienced this?

-I'v noticed when people post what they play on recruiting threads some are like "lvl 20 soldier/medic". Can you combine classes or is that simply indicating they play them two classes at that level?

For your first question, you cannot unlock attachments and gear through co-op, only through single-player challenges. Next, you can in fact attribute skill points to various classes, however you cannot max out bothn classes. So, in other words, you can be a jack of all trades but a master of none.

Hope this helps, and enjoy the game!

Thanks very much for fast response!
Does that mean I could for example be disguised as the enemy and lay down turrets? :o

Sadly, no, because you pick classes in game and whichever you pick you gain their abilities such as lying turrets or being disguised.
