Brink for Mac?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 1:23 pm

You can have a PC side to your Mac, but it's seperate from the Mac OS side. If the PC side is 32 GB or less, then you can transfer files between the two partitions. If the PC side is bigger, however, than a third party (such as a flash drive or Iomega disk) is needed to send files from one partition to the other.) (Or at least from Mac to PC.)

put all the technical/ hardware stuff aside. you want to play any game online competitively, mac os is not the best choice because the majority of people who buy macs aren't serious gamers or using their mac for games.

Well the online system is'nt divided into Mac and Windows, so both OS Players can play with each other.

YES! I'm probably getting wireless. So I think imma gonna get Brink for the Xbox 360 since I already have one. Buying a new OS for bootcamp on my mac would be way too troublesome. Sigh. For Xbox Live we need to buy "microsoft points" or subscription cards, whereas for computers we already have internet access. Guess I'll have to get Live then. :jammasterjay:

I don't know what game you're are referring to, but not all games allow for cross platform Windows and Mac online play. And a Brink Mac port hasn't even been confirmed yet.

I believe you have to have a Windows OS installation disk to run Bootcamp and partition a Mac's hard drive. I can't find mine, it's a pain.

Well I searched "Boot camp" in Spotlight and found it. It's called boot camp assistant. Well I'm not sure whether I should run it, because I've got lots of stuff in my memory now. I'm wondering if your sposed to buy the OS for windows or it just comes with the bootcamp? Xbox 360 would probably be better, except for the multiplayer problems. :shocking:

It's been a while since I tried... but I'm fairly sure running the assistant mounts the Bootcamp drive to your devices, but to use it you have to install a Windows OS - ie, by using an installation disc or by other means.

Blaargh. So troublesome. Well I won't be doing that! :P

Most likely I will get Brink on the 360, unless I get a new PC cause my old vista died. :flamethrower: (insert spoilt computer here)

It should be released for Mac! Stop supporting Microsoft's turd in a blanket! If you made a PS3 version than its not that complicated to write a Mac versions as well...

And yes I believe the point of Steams Mac initiative was to convince people that the Mac is a promising gaming platform... Which it has, ever play the mac version of games you bought for PC? They run amazing and you can keep you favorite operating system...

Mac OS X rules!
