Bots arent as bad as they say

So yeah, I was a bit frustrated with the bots right? And then bethesda mentioned the hero code, where bots get smarter later in the game to allow players a chance to steal the glory. And I had no problem with that, i was able to grind experience in singleplayer and play for fun in multiplayer. But today, i was playing a singleplayer game and i felt like i was the only one doing any work at all. The other bots (including the enemy team) were congregated a bit off of the objective engaged in a fire fight. So, as I would just go around them and attempt to singlehandedly take the objective, hoping the bots would catch on and come assist me. When they didnt i was quite frustrated and considering giving up altogether. Then, I took the route that the bots were taking. That's when we started winning. After assisting them with the firefight only THEN did they start to cover me at the objective and progress through the map.

So, moral of the story, although the bots can be purely idiotic at times, they are programmed to engender teamplay, and they succeed in that. Play the game like it was intended to be played, and do your job as the class you picked, and the bots should help you out.

If you understand how the bots think, they can be very supportive, but also very easy to beat.

For some of the offense missions, it can be quite hard to beat bots the normal way. But it becomes quite easy if you know how the bots deal with objectives. That is to say, the way they just mob them. Very tough to make your way in sometimes, but they stop everything they are doing once they notice an enemy, and keep shooting till the enemy is gone. So if you can kill all the enemies on one route, and let the bots engage each other somewhere else, you are free to do the objective on your own.

For hack missions you can just hide in a corner while the teams fight it out, then stop hacking long enough to kill the survivors.

For object retrieval missions, the bots will mob the active objective. So the place you need to bring it to will be empty until its actually picked up. Two ways you can use this. You can stay at the turn in spot, and let your team bring in the object, that way you can stop the bots from setting up a defense. Alternatively, you can just pick up the object and run to turn it in while the two teams are still fighting.

HE missions are easy vs bots. Once you finally plant it you can just stay in back and pick off any engineers who try to remove it.

Escort missions can be hard vs bots, but really all you have to do is stay back and kill so that your bots outnumber their bots.

Repair missions are easy enough. The progress is permanent, so use any of the strategies above to either take care of it yourself or let the bots do it.

Head to head, the bots can kill you VERY fast. as long as you stay back from the front lines though, they wont shoot at you. You can even hide in corners, and they will go right by you. Just make sure that when you start shooting one that you kill them, or else you stand a high chance of dying instantly.

Either way, the bots don't strike me as very good. They use their buffs when possible, but as far as strategy goes, there is none, they are just mobbing the objectives and have insane aim.

I love how you can easily take out a group of 8 hard bots single handedly. All that bots have is good aim, they have no skill.
