TES comic series

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:26 am

i for one am a huge comic book fan.. love the marvel stuff especially by brian bendis and chris claremont.

anyway i would love to see a comic series released on TES.. i realize there is a book out now and another one on the way but weekly to monthly comic book series would be one of my dreams come true as an ES fan.

could have a few main characters to start and u could just do 3-6 comic story arcs, slowly introducing more characters and plot lines.

I'd be highly interested in a TES webcomic... I would totally do it if it weren't for my lack of knowledge of TES lore, and I'm not a very good writer

A graphic novel would be pretty cool. Me likey pictures :)

I wouldn't mind seeing a Penny Arcade comic for Elder Scrolls V like they did for Fallout 3. Seems likely.

Of course, an actual ongoing series could be interesting, being that Warcraft does/did it sucessfully, but I think that's just because WoW is like crack for some people, so they'll get whatever they can get their hands on.
But... judging from the amount of publicity The Infernal City got (they don't even have anything up about the release on the official Elder Scrolls website! The blog doesn't really count IMO, as it's all unofficial, but I digress) and the amount of actual stores that seemed to get the books in stock, again not many (seems everyone here got it online), it's unlikely a comic series would sell that well.

Comics? Well, for pennies (for a company like Bethesda/Zenimax) they could hire an artist and a writer and make a webcomic set in the world of TES. Or hire writers to publish short stories every now and then on the site. That would be an interesting way to expand and keep interest in the series.

yea wows comics are still doing very ver well.. and dont forget warhammer and knights of the old republic comics.. i think with good advertising, writers, and patience it could do well.. but then again im a huge fan so even if it wasnt that great i would probably still buy them (or read em online if they free digi comics)

I'm a big comic fan myself, it sure would be cool. There certainly are a lot of possibilities within this universe.

If anyone wanted to start up a webcomic I'd be up for drawing.

I would like the Elder Scrolls V Collectors Edition to include a comic book but i am not sure i would like a monthly comic book series... besides... is it really neccery? Tamriel should, for the most part, be explored through the games and not a monthly comic. infact i am not too sure i really like the novel stuff.
