Oscuro's (OOO) and Quest Award Leveller

I have OOO installed and recently advanced to level 13. This seems to be a jump up in the OOO levelled lists. The unused Sigil stone I kept carrying with me suddenly got "better" (Frost Shield 13%, before it was only 9%). I also have Quest Award Leveller mod installed. I was wondering if the better sigil stone was done by QAL or by OOO itself? Because my Escutcheon of Chorrol stayed the same at Endurance +4 and Damage Reflection of 8%... Will the Escutcheon also level up sometimes? If not, is there a point at all to use QAL together with OOO? How do these 2 work together, if they do at all? I'd really appreciate your insight into this, if it's not too much trouble.

Sidenote: I tried searching for "leveller" and "award leveller" and in both instances I got a 1000 search hits. I'm really not finding very much with the search function.... :confused:

Most armor that I have seen tends to update its level only after you retake it. Just like knights of the nine where you have to take off the armor by putting it on the stand and then taking it back. Try dropping your equipment on the ground or putting it into a container (then exit the container inventory) and then retake the item. It should then update if it is going to.

I think OOO makes it so that you get the best version of every item for doing the quest though. Also, you Escutcheon of Chorrol doesn't seem to be one of the "regular" versions (from http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Escutcheon_of_Chorrol_

@The_Fan: The Crusader's gear is the only set in the (vanilla) game that can be levelled up as you level up, everything else becomes stuck at what level you get them.

As to the Escutcheon: Yes I've noted that too that it is some stats-modified version. Could it be that this is from the OMOBS mod that I also have installed? I'm putting up my present load list, maybe someone spots something.

A good question. I am running a UFCOM build and am using Quest Award Leveler. If QAL's functions are already covered in UFCOM it would be an unnecessary redundancy. TL for any knowledge boost.

Different items have different leveling schemes. For the shield, you're in the 10-14th level range. You 'should' get a more powerful version when you hit 15th level (unless OOO changed it).

That's what I'm trying to find out. Either OOO did or OMOBS did as the stats are definitely outside the vanilla stats. :)

OOO changes the levels when Sigil Stones are upgraded, basically making it so that you get better stones at later levels than in vanilla. You can "override" this with QAL - that is, if using the option to cover Sigil Stones in QAL you'll get the vanilla variants of the stones. Other than that, OOO works perfectly fine with QAL. Escutcheon will level up at the same levels as in vanilla. Its Reflect Damage enchantment is nerfed compared to vanilla, though. OMOBS covers weapons so won't affect shields at all.
