Armor Stands.

Post » Mon May 16, 2011 7:51 am

Something i were annoyed with in Oblivion was when you put all your Helmets, boots around the house to make it look alot more awesome, the things you moved from the Shelf's or table's they whould respawn and make the things you putthere fly away :verymad:
Thats why i want Armor stands that you can buy and place in the house and then put whatever set of armor on it, even your own mix of different armors. and ofc they should remove the spawn for plates and glasses on the tables in the player house. :tes:

i like this idea. ^_^ it would defiantly save room in the display cases... plus we can use em to show off the awesome armor we manage to collect via Quests or otherwise

i hope we see this if not in the main game in some sort of patch or DLC

Armor stands would be lovely. I usually collect one full set of each kind of armor, and that would make it a lot easier to organize my collection and make my house less messy, with pieces of armor lying around in every corner...

This, to me, goes in that "sort of want" category along with tattoos and families. I don't mind the idea, but the problem is that, with a set release date and a tier of executives hungry for bonuses, Beth is time and cost-conscious. Pretty much anything that's included in the game represents something else that's left out, and this is far enough down on my list of things I want to see included in the game that the odds are that whatever they would leave out in its place would be something I value more.

Yes please. I loved Reznod's Mannequin mod for Oblivion. Really awesome for decorating your house, displaying your awesome sets of armours and posing them.

If it isn't in the base game, I won't worry too much as I am sure someone will make a mod for it. I don't really think it is on the Dev's priority list at the moment :D

Question is, how will it fit with real world physics? I hope they make it right this time around....

Yes!

If they haven't added it yet (and hence probably wont before release) this would be a great thing to add with DLCs.

I would love to see armor stands in the game, I mean who wouldn't want to show off their magic dragon armor with spikes on it? ^_^

Yeah, I wouldn't mind Bethesda dishing them out in a DLC.

As long as I get enough display cases to store my loot in I'll be good to go even if they don't decide to put armor stands in.

I want mannequin armor stands as well as actual display cases. Idk if this is a vanilla thing or something with OOO but in mage guilds in Oblivion if you put certain things in the blue containers they would actually show up inside them.

You could store things in your houses, such as the one in Skingrad, inside glass cases where you could see your weapons etc, I liked to fill them up with all the gems I found.

Also there are mods for armor stands in Oblivion that worked pretty nicely.

Interactive mannequins and weapon stands would be awesome additions to the furniture you can purchase, would be awesome for DLC if they have not already implemented something like this for sure.

Yes to this. It's been something I've modded in since Morrowind. I wouldn't mind if they aren't in really, but I enjoy them and I'd expect one to be modded in regardless. Just take some of the scripts from mods if you have to (though that's bad and is considered stealing despite the fact that everything made with the construction set is property of Bethesda) and intended integration of them into the engine itself would work much better. But there are certainly other features I'd rather see that take precedence over this.
