It makes the soldier that much more viable it is difficult enough to top the charts as a solly or op as is giving players more ammo just makes it more difficult.

I can't say i've noticed this being a problem at all, especially with the magazine upgrades available

Just make sure you have a good secondary with a fast equip time.. so you can whip it out and finish off your opponents :)

The clips are fine! If you need more get yourself an extended clip, drums or play as soldier

Speaking of those clips, I'd prefer that they increase total ammo count aswell, instead of just the number of rounds I can carry in my magazine.

Ahem,

Sorry, it's a big pet peeve of mine. Anyways, I actually think low magazine counts helps reinforce the soldier's already limited role in team support. Maybe another mag wouldn't hurt (it does seem like you run out extremely quickly) but Bad Company 2 offers an example of what happens when you grant players a too healthy starting ammo pool. Playing the Assault kit in that game basically meant randomly dropping ammo boxes in hopes of anyone ever needing anything, and even when they came running it was often for just a grenade.

Im tired of people complaining about the ammo clip size, and the amount of overall ammo. There is a reason for that.

1st off your team should have a soldier. SOLDIERS GIVE AMMO. THIS GAME IS ABOUT TEAMWORK.

2nd. People say they will be shooting somebody, and have to reload and get killed. You are suppose to stay on the move, making it hard for you to get shot. Maybe thats why you can climb walls, slide under stuff, vault over objects, and jump off walls.

How people can complain about the ammo in this game at all ? Who ever told you that Josh he probably havent work it out yet.You can customize your weapons to increase the ammo clips/ammo reload time.Plus there are a few habilities that helps the reload while running as well.I mean come on complain about ammo is just lame and more if you have way to many options to get it better.

And i agree with you josh.

Drum Mags should have more total ammo. Other than that I'm fine with it being limited.

Last I checked, standard issue vests in the military have pockets for at least 4 magazines, and thats being bare bones. And I know compairing reality to games is generally a poor idea, considering that it takes on average 95% of a magazine to take someone down, not counting missed shots, 2-3 magazines goes fast. And as a med-soldier, keeping myself and others stocked with ammmo is straining, specially on the offensive team.

I fall back all the time. Its my standard play tactic. But unfortunately, with the current setup, the longer you live, the more straining it is on supplies. Its often faster and easier just to die to replenish ammo. Im a casual gamer when it comes to shooters. I am in no way a pro.

Another reason thats a terrible comparison is that In real life you don't respawn. If you could, im sure you wouldn't be given as much ammo....

People saying that if you're running out of ammo you just need to get extended mags or drum mags obviously haven't been playing Brink. Not sure what they have been playing, but it isn't Brink.

Those upgrades don't increase your total ammo count - just how many shot you can fire before reloading. Only way to get more TOTAL ammo is with the Soldier's "extra ammo" buff.

But you can get a friendly Soldier without the upgrade to refill you to your normal maximum, and you can reload up to whatever your currently-set maximum is (normal or Soldier-buffed) with a trip to the nearest CP - you have to decide for yourself which is the best option.

And, as we keep saying, there seem to be a lot of people forgetting to use their secondary weapons - swap out more often, don't rely ONLY on your primary - yes, it's going to be a better weapon, but when you're out of ammo, or low, don't be afraid to switch and use the weaker gun while you're falling back.

What he said. And with some rifles when you put a c-mag on them, you only get one and a half reloads.

The first post said: "complaining about ammo clip size, and the amount of overall ammo" Thats why people (like me) reply with 'get extended magazines or drums'.

I hardly ever seem to run out of ammo using an AR/SMG/Pistol... and I only use Drum Mag on the Carb-9, most of the time I just stick with Extended or Standard mags. If I do run out, then I just hang back, buff my teammates, and either kamikaze melee attacks (actually picked up a couple kills so far) or wait until I get restocked. It really isn't a problem at all.

And how about returning fire?

Ive noticed the controls do not take kindly to finer more accurate movements and are more clunky, and less then ideal for those fine adjustments on sighting.

Ammo is still an issue because even as a soldier, running out of ammo happens all the damn time. 2-3 magazines per gun is not enough. it should be more like 4-5. You know, like what normal people would logically carry?

Just because the game is about teamwork doesn't mean they should castrate people if they don't do it the whole time

I disagree. 2-3 magazines is optimal considering you do have a secondary weapon. As far as ammo carrying being logical if that is the case it should be tracked by body size with the heavies being able to carry significantly more and the lights being able to carry less and anything over the amounts listed for each incurring a movement penalty. In a game where you can take five shots to the head before you die though logic when it comes to combat conditions goes right out the window. I have yet, even with the worst teams including the team AI, to run completely out of ammo and be forced to just die in a fire fight.

Last I checked, your primary weapon is supposed to be your... primary weapon. At the very least they got the ammo counts backwards. Your secondary is supposed to be your last resort weapon for when all else fails. Why is it the main weapon we use then?

you need to check again cause your primary weapon is just what you start out using and secondary is not last resort its if your out in one clip and there is still enemys near you

Also whoever said 4-5 mags army vest hold 2 + 1 in gun
marine is same
spec ops is 4-5
