TES V Ideas and Suggestions # 139

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 6:46 pm

From a purely mod-related perspective. Need moar attachment points.
Also, need moar clothing slots. 20 ring slots (for hands). Seperate slots for nipble piercings and clothes. Y'know?

I agree, why limit ring slots to two when you have (on average) 10 fingers including thumbs? Clothing slots would be nice to have back, Morrowind had so many things right it's not funny. I do believe I even saw a nipble piercing once.

About the races, I thought it would be nice to play as a daedric lord/lady banished from oblivion on a quest to take over the land of Nirn. Or to play as a Nirn god/dess banished from Nirn on a quest to take over a land of Oblivion. Or you might like to play as any of the normal races you find, or even as a Dwemer, a Minotaur, a Fae, etc...

Houses, I played Fable 2 a while back, and was impressed by 2 things, firstly the ability to buy any house in the game, and the consequent ability to kill house owners then buy their house and then their ability to respawn the npc's once the house is sold or rented. And the second thing, one which when I was playing that game I was constantly thinking, I wish this was in Oblivion... The online play feature, where when you are connected to (say) xbox live (or ps live or whatever it's called) you see other people playing the game as orbs wandering around, and you can interact with them or talk directly to them. I'm not suggesting in any way shape or form that the next ES game copies this feature, I'm suggesting that the next ES should take hints from what went right in that game and create some way of interacting online, ok yes, i'm suggesting that Bethesda copy that feature.... or better yet, make it better and have characters wander around instead of orbs. Just think about it Bethesda. Thanks.

The ability to toggle realism

I like the way Bethesda went when they made Fallout 3, I've played Oblivion for hundreds if not thousands of hours and I'd always wanted to be able to tear bodies apart, I know Elder Scrolls has been more of a kids game (in some peoples opinion) and blood and realism hasn't been emphasized, but I agree here in that a realism switch in the options menu would kick some major [censored], the ability to splatter an opponent with a magic spell, or to watch blood drip from their neck when you drink your way to total vampirism, or even werewolf, and to see scars appear when you swipe with a claw. To knock heads off an watch them roll before stomping them to a fine sticky mush and scraping them off your boot... Ok, maybe too much realism, maybe not...?

I'd also like to see more variety in the way of weapons, sure, you've got your bows and swords and clubs and bare hands, but why not have a magic gun of some sort, and staves which not only have a magic effect but can be swung as melee weapons also. Explosive arrow heads would be nice, and maybe some barbed arrow heads so that when you rip them from the flesh of an opponent blood flies everywhere.....

Sorry to keep posting like this, but I had another thought.

I've always wanted my vampire victims to turn to vampires themselves after a bite....

If there is something similar to Silt Strider transport in TESV, I'll be a happy camper.

Gore has always been a trademark of the Fallout franchise. Bethesda keeping this element for their Fallout doesn't mean they will use it in the Elder Scrolls.

If it's in Skyrim then I would like to see some kind of Polar bear mount, also Mages guild Teleport, Ships and hopefully something like a Sky ship (200 years after Oblivion, the mages guild should get some sort of transport like that from the Dwemer)

I agree, but how about a mammoth mount instead? And there is no more Mages Guild...
