Are these areas unfinished?

Post » Mon Nov 01, 2010 10:33 pm

areas that we have hardly seen anything from

Tundra [one screen and a small clip from the trailer]
Volcanic Tundra[did we see ANYTHING?]
The Reach. [a few screens and the trailer]

so, this is just me going out on a limb but do you think that when the screenshots were taken the world-building process was not complete to a point where the devs would want us seeing much of it.
i mean they wouldnt want that anyway but still, MOST OF what we really see is the pine forest and the mountains.

what do you all think.

I think they would be done with landscaping (apart from landscape adjusted by cities) before they started buildings. So I would say they are done, just not choosing to show offeverything at once.

Screen shots were dated to be late 2009. As far as the in-game footage, BGS probably didn't want to show us everything. The areas are all done. That's a definite. The only thing BGS is likely working on at this point is other features they would like to add to the game, or polishing.

I don't think that's reliable. As far as I remember, the only date for anything we have is an 09 piece of concept art featuring a frost troll.

It's not reliable. Pete even said something along the lines of 'why we would we show screens from 2009'? (Can't remember exact words.)

Whatever it was he said it implied the screenshots were recent.

maybe. the game isn't finished and they haven't gone out and said what is and isn't complete. I think based on what todd said nothing in the games is completely done until they literally have no more time to tweak with them.

I suspect that they are done. I really hope they don't show us everything. It would be nice to encounter somethings for the first time in-game.

I doubt it's done, there is still a ton of time between now and when it comes out. With that being said, they have been working on it for years now so who knows.
