Thick Blue Fog randomly appearing

Post » Mon Nov 01, 2010 9:53 pm

Hi,
Throughout many of my installs I've found that blue fog randomlly appears every 10 mineuts or so- and rediculously close to me, so I can't see more than a few feet infront. I use streamsight along with enchanced weather- is this the cause?
It's VERRRRY bothering, considering I use so many graphical enchacement mods and can't see any of them!!! :P

Make sure you're using Streamline 3.1 plus the patch. I get weird fog settings using Streamsight extremely seldom so it seems quite stable to me. Not using EW, though, but rather All Natural.

will try updating to the patch, thanks :) If it persists I may as well use all natural- so long as it has a darker nights setting...

And if you use AN, I would recommend turning off streamlines streamsight and have a look at the settings I had a play with here http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1140299-relz-weather-all-natural-thread-30/page__view__findpost__p__16678883 in the spoiler... it works really well if you want a similar setup to redbags fog

Though one change to that post linked above - I would now use ....

In My Documents\My Games\Oblivion - Oblivion.ini - UgridDistantTreeRange and UGridDistantCount both set to 14 or even 16 (depends upon your preference and machine capabilities with distant trees/objects of course but for the AN fog ranges I used there I think 14 or 16 is a good match for those)

I am not currently using AN because for our setup had to go back to obse 0018 (please dont take this as a recommend not to use AN, a lot of people are using AN without the array errors I experienced - it only happens in rare cases at the moment as far as I have seen, and by all accounts it should not be happening at all - under investigation), really missing it personaly though, gone back to redbags fog for now (and also not using streamsight with that, UGrids with redbags is a good range match at about 12 for redbags clear day fog (which is the max ranged fog)) but when the array error problem has been resolved I will be re-installing AN.

Edit: For anyone curious http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=33424

Edit2: Struckthrough the AN comments, problem solved obse 0019b released
