That's because I don't have an official topic for them yet.
And yeah, Ankh-Morpork is huge. Those streets you saw weren't even a 20th of the city, it's... big, to say the least.

There's a mod for Morrowind that adds a player owned tavern near Ebonheart and it's basically full of Discworld references. Since I never read anything from that series (yet) I was bit lost..

Same "lost" feeling happened with Integration: The Stranded Light's spoiler file when one quest simply had the spoiler hint: "Discworld noir"; I guess because the quest was inspired by the discworld game.

Integration? Is that a mod?

So, Trainwiz, you're definitely still making the mod? (Also, you're so lucky to have been in contact with Terry! That's awesome.)

I would actually love the get the Ankh-Morpork Mapp one day. Sounds like a fun companion to look at while reading the books. Of course, not all the books have to do with Ankh.

PS: Am I the only one who loved Pyramids? I thought it was the funniest I'd read yet. But that's off topic, sorry.

Definitely still making it, right now I'm in the exterior stage, though pretty far along.

And alot of people I know loved Pyramids.

I'll be sure to keep an eye on the progress by checking your sig (or whenever you get a thread set up).

Another thing, to whoever might know:
In that interview he says something like when he played a mod, he'd comment on it, like "That a boy, that was a good one" or "That didn't work so well" or what not... I wonder if he meant the TES Nexus or what? Is it possible to search that site by people who have commented or something? It'd be interesting to find out.

Not only he plays Oblivion, but he has been in of a modding team for a long time.
I don't know his role in the team as I am not part of it.
(I wont mention the mod because, if he didn't, I suppose he wants to keep it private)

Oh . . . and it is SIR Terry Pratchett for us, mere mortals.

Wow, I had no idea!

That fills me full of questions! I wonder if they've released anything... maybe if they release a big mod, he'll reveal himself!

Er, yeah, I know he's a Sir. I guess I should have said that. Do I have to say it every time? ...Probably.

Yeah, I was just kidding.

Speaking of sort of "conversion" mods for Oblivion, have there been others based on popular works? Like, actually converting Cyrodil to a wholly different world?
Like... *inner really devoted fan jumps out*(Edit: Hah, I didn't know they censored the boy word. The fan one. Sounds kind of like fawn bui) Lord of the Rings? There's GOT to be a LOTR one. Unless that's a massive copyright issue, which now that I think of it probably would be... but who knows. Any info on that anyone?

Wow, that integration sounds like a pretty massive, epic...thing.

Also, phoenix, you should read Discworld so when the (hopefully awesome) mod by trainwiz comes out, you can be excited about it. I don't know if you like fantasy books, but they're set in a fantasy universe and there's a lot of humor and stuff. You can also start reading in a lot of places. There are like, 37 now or something, but if you start at the beginning of each storyline (IE certain characters, like Rincewind the Wizard who has so many books or the Witches who have so many and so on).

So, can anyone tell me if there's a list of "conversion" type things based on things from literature or movies or whatever? Like I mentioned, Lord of the Rings is one I'd think of first, has anyone actually tried to recreate a popular world from some work or another?

I think its http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22810

@ Trainwiz - O_o Ankh is looking good, I didn't think anyone would be able to take on such a thing, its potentially a vast undertaking when you think about the detail. The population has a multitude of characters to choose... just from the Morporkians, is it possible to get guards to run the other direction away from trouble
I certainly dont envy you having a go, but wish you the best.

While I think the vineyard part is from Shadowcrest Vineyard, the cheese making isn't from that mod, It's from http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28924.

And there is also http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29214 for Tolkien's LotR
