They do more work if you buff them alot and resupply them
idk why but i lost a match then buffed my team at begining and they planted bomb escorted bot hacked side door, they even took the bomb/vaccine to the place before i could get there

I beat container city without bots helping me. I buffed their guns and they couldn't get past the enemy. I had to build the secret stairs, wall hop into light areas, and sneak to the flank just to get near our robot. It was crazy. Any upfront attack failed and my bots kept dying no matter what I did.

i dont know then caus emy bots where destroying and i stil lcame out with 8k exp and i wasnt even top on my team

What's your level. That's the main thing that affects AI's.

If you're on a PC, Hold Control + Alt + Tilde (~)

It brings up the console. Sometimes, the console will say "Resistance AI skill bumped up, Security AI down" and vice versa. I'm thinking they get smarter and dumber every so often during a mission.

19 but iv been 20 2 times and iv done this on my lvl 8 also so i dont think it affected that much maybe a lil

Clearly they were creating a diversion so you could run through the objectives and get a massive amount of points lol.

I pretty much use up all but 1 of my pips buffing allies the second I spawn. I very rarely have more than 1 pip at a time because I'm constantly letting off buffs. Yet the friendly AI is STILL as thick as [censored], and the enemy AI STILL manages to push me back to our spawn on the odd occasion.
