all it does is say connection error: Timed out I even switched host this is bad because i'm starting a clan and tryed to join with one of my clan members

You probably already have, but do you have your port forwarding sorted out? You don't mention what platform you play on but out of 8 of us who bought the game together for PC, there are still at least half who can't host a private game, even with port forwarding and firewalls set.
