Morrowind ini help

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:47 am

I'm not sure if this is the right section for this topic so forgive me if it is not. I got a tutorial online about how to allow yes to all in the cs. It worked fine until I went to save the work and it would not let me save. It gives me the message " cannot create the C:/ProgramFiles/BethesdaSoftworks/Morrowind/Morrowind.ini file. Make sure that the path and file name are correct." I've tried save as and save and it does this no matter what. I am supposed to save over the original ini file when altering it, correct? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Running Vista will cause this. These are UAC settings (which I believe have been fixed in 7, since I no longer have these issues), inherent with this particular OS.

Try this;

Go to Notepad, but right-click before launching and select "Run as administrator". Once the file selection is open select "all files". Browse to your INI then try and save changes.

Or go to Programx86/Morrowind, and look for the Compatibility Tab. That should show you the ini you can actually edit (along with saves made in the game).
