a survival mode would be good for DLC

brinks a great game but as we know its not got many maps and if your playing online and do the vote map you could be playing the same 2 or 3 maps all the time. that can get a bit tedious after a long time or even a year down the line. so i was trying to think of different modes that could offer you the same fun and team work.

and the mode that's would work well with brink is a survival mode like the one in red dead redemption's undead add-on DLC. but instead of zombies just have waves of one faction coming at a team of 4 players in co-op. a bit like the survival in the challenges in brink but with more depth to it. obviously I'll let other people have there say as to how it would work. but the undead survival is very popular with many players and it would be an easy mode to develop.

you could also have the capture the brief case mode where both factions start at opposite ends of a map and the brief case is in the center of the map you then have to deliver it to a zone near where the enemies spawn point is. that mean you would have a good fight on your hands to try and get the case there. again what do you think? but as the game has no true single player campaign as such it could do with something else to give the game more gameplay options while using brinks great team work.

A survival mode could be really interesting.
I'm not sure if it really fits with the theme of the game... you'd need to have something like security doing a final stand in the founder's tower "what if" mission I'd guess. There would need to be plenty of objectives to build cover / machine guns etc to really keep it in the Brink style. It might work.

Capture the briefcase: I prefer playing something like refuel in stopwatch mode (if only that sound bug would get fixed) where one side does the capping and then the other side does the capping and whichever side did it best wins the round.
It could be interesting with both sides trying to carry the same objective but with the fast movement it might be very one sided and decided by whoverer arrives at the pickup point first.

I guess we'll see what SD have in mind for us ^_^ hopefully something cool.

Could have Security versus plague victims, fits in nice with the storyline as the plague is already in place.
The plague itself we haven't seen so they could have Walking Dead style victims if they wanted to.

If there were a survival mode, I would think that it would be against Resistance/Security, not evil creatures like zombies or the such. It would be a good mode though, because of the vast range of teamwork abilities.

Managing supply levels could get tough.

Also it could well be 8-player co-op, judging by the way that the game is setup so far. Games like Left for Dead have shown that 8-player co-op works, and so I believe that it would continue to work in Brink.

That would be good as you can have Resistance and Security teaming up to save the Ark.

Chen would have to be faced with the fact that not everyone outside of the ark is there to help. It could actually move the story on a little bit.
I'm not sure what direction SD want to go with Brink but this is certainly a viable option.

Security and resistance teaming up to defend the ark from attackers(as said in the storyline; security had to move the ark because their location had gotten out)

It could fit in storyline :P

This idea sounds brutally addictive, kinda like Horde/Zombies all in one but with Brinks mechanics.. i think it would work really well.

The plot could also tie into the storyline quite easily, the virus/plague spread and managed to infect a group of people who were in hiding somewhere on the ARK, only for them to surface... maybe having the security and the resistance fight along side each other for survival. The possibilities are endless.

I'd rather have an external group of crazies than a plague to be honest.
Plague is a little overdone IMO.
Look at Waterworld (yes.. that old Kevin Costner movie): the Smokers would make a great attacking horde and they're not zombies / plague victims.
Either way though it could be an interesting game mode if implemented correctly.
