All the people defending this thrown together wreck of a game are the same people that said that Brink did not need a demo or any testing. The story was horrible and way to short. You dont feel connected to either side you pick. They had so much to work with and pissed it down the drain. I still can not play with my friends online, the lag is horrible in any match you play, even with all bots. I want to play against people in a multilayer game, not some stupid AI bots. I took vacation days from work to play this, what a freakin waste. What a freakin waste of cash and a waste of time. Damn you Brink for making me wait over a year and then give us this crap. Was suppose to change the world of FPS, how can you change anything when people can't even play a game online. Wait through the same dumb ass cut scenes over and over again and then get into unplayable lag. Ive been trying to give it chance each day, after 1 and half hours today of trying, its coming to an end. Its a damn shame something with so much potential fell flat on its face. Come on BC3! I'm sure they will not disappoint, and they'll have a multilayer demo map to work out issues before you launch something to the people. Take notes SD, but im not sure how many people would trust your next game...

If you don't like the game, then why are you posting on the publisher's forums? Do you honestly think developers care what their vocal forum population thinks?

Also, you play on a console right? Consoles do and will continue to provide a second rate FPS experience.

Almost every FPS game Ive played on release has had bugs and lag up the ass. Its been 9 days, and they have already started patching, patience is a virtue

PC has had a far smoother release. No lag, sound glitch on 1 map, some ATI cards have some issues (? I'm not too sure about this. I run Nvidia), bigger online population apparently and better control scheme for FPSs.

Sorry that you don't like the game but there are plenty of people who do.

Yes, because the Halo and Battlefield/Bad Company franchise is second rate........give me a break.

PC/Console "wars" are foolish. And have nothing to do with the OP's post. Plenty of PC players are feeling the same way.


@ OP, be patient. Don't give up until the patch hits, if you gotta take a break and play something else until then, do so. The patch should fix a lot of the issues people (myself included) are having.

how was BRINK supposed to "change the world of FPS"? jesus, it's made by Splash Damage. reading the forums all day and watching pre release videos didn't show you the resemblance to RTCW Enemy Terrirtory?

if you're a pc player:

if you can't play online with your friend make sure you did port forward and stop dl'ing porm in the background if you get lag issues.

Any FPS that's good on a console, is better on a PC.

Patches/DLC are available faster. Keyboard/Mouse are better than controller.

Really, all the kids with consoles complaining about this game are just going to trade their game into Gamestop for pennies on the dollar because they're stupid to use ebay.
