Once again, though, the hacking objectives are the impossible ones. We finally pushed through to the hacking objective. And I had two different experiences in the same game.
1st, I was having trouble as an operative and realized that my team wasn't supporting me. Fine. I decided to switch to engineer, secure the room, and pave the way with turrets and mines for our operatives to get in and get the job done. I stood around for three or four minutes with operatives dancing outside of the room fighting rather than rushing in to hack. I decided to switch back to operative.
2nd, as an operative, we pushed in, secured the room and I was hacking. There were two other damn operatives in the room NOT HELPING. I got the hack to 94% before I was killed. Had the other two operatives actually been assisting, we would have won.
SD, no one cares about being the hero. You designed this to be a team game, please make the single player experience function as such. There have been any number of other successful games that allow the player to succeed as part of a team without being the action hero (see Ghost Recon series, Rainbow Six series, etc.).
I've said it before, I'll say it again. I want to love this game, but you guys are making it hard.
