If anything, liking a game with low ratings make you "hip" and "unconventional".

Demon souls anyone  . Repetitive souls is more like it.

Should anyone even care what Angry Joe, or for that matter anyone else thinks? its like people getting mad because a game recieved an 8 on IGN when they think it deserves a 9 or 10, im thinking seriously? are you really getting worked up about what someone else thinks about a game? why should it effect how you think about the game.

Angry Joe's getting all hyped up for games coming out this year and Skyrim is right at the top of his top ten.

Angry Joe is just a rip off of the angry video game nerd way funnier that him i liked his sonic free riders review though. He went and got his money back for that game fast.

yea but it doesn't talk about anything concerning skyrim, it talks about a persons opinion, which is rather fruitless no matter what.

The same could be said for any preview.

The AVGN mostly does nostalgic games, archaic pixally ones lol. I couldn't get into that because I just couldn't relate - my first platform was the 360.

Angry Joe on the other hand, is always up to date and current. As evidenced by the 2011 list.

But I digress. People, let's stop arguing and just agree that Angry Joe got the #1 slot right - Skyrim, best rpg of the decade!

I enjoyed watching that, some good games there indeed. I have to say guild wars looks like a good game,i take it MMO only and PC only?
Skyrim is going to be huge, bethesda will be able to wipe their arseholes with money after this comes out.

No idea who Angry Joe is... and frankly, I don't care.

This is the most anticipated game ever for me :P. Didn't matter what they called it, as long as it had TES:V in front of it.

If anything, liking a game with low ratings make you "hip" and "unconventional".

I'm not sure where the stereotype that "older" folks have refer to any choices or lifestyles reflecting a young person is just them trying to be cool or "hip" comes from. Not a fan of it either.

As for ratings, some people don't care. A large number however do because no one likes to spend loads of money on sub-par games or movies.

That's where written reviews and the number at the end comes to play. It's trusting someone you don't know but that can be said for your heros or people you like politically or even liking people like Howard and trusting their word. And generally while there's bias their fair enough. Fallout New Vegas's for example. I'm not a fan of IGN but atleast they got spot on with that. New Vegas is worth it but comming at tails end of 2010 technologically it was behind. Worst of all even if all the content makes up for it, bugs can never be forgiven. So atleast they got that the game was all about the better writing and all the gameplay inspite of its bugs.

So in the same vein I guess the OP thought Angry Joe putting Skyrim as an anticipated game was...well cool.

He seems fine. No idea about him but apparently he's mostly independant and even if cheesy and campy he's entertaining enough. I remember this guy doing some anticipation skit for RDR and Prototype. Was lolzy.

His excitement is infectious. Thanks for posting that. I'm going to be missing after the release too...don't send out a search party. :)

Angry Joke is one of the few people who gives his entire, unbiased opinion when reviewing games. He gives games REAL reviews, playing them for as long as he needs or until he can't play it anymore (such as when a product stops working, like Ubisoft's Battle Tag thingy). Seeing all this disrespect of him, especially when people have only seen a single review or glanced at a single score, only serves to lower my opinion of the state of the Skyrim forum even more. :shakehead:
