In my opinion that's the point of the maps. I like the fact that you have to fight for something while playing as offense, while defense is having an easy day because they have dug in for whatever might come at them.

Offense IS supposed to have a hard time.


The point of the maps is to get spawncamped? The second you leave your turret-defended spawn area you get stomped? No, it's not.

It's a flaw in the friendly AI that often leaves you alone to carry the team and do all the fighting, which leads to you being pushed too far back. This is the kinda stuff that in MP would only happen if an elite or organized clan faced off against randoms.

I'm talking about multiplayer. If you just sit back and relax, then you're going to get over run and 'spawncamped'... Which in truth is only preventing you to do your objective in an early stage of the game.

Again, offense isn't supposed to have it easy considering they don't have a wide open space to run around in, instead they have a tiny objective that they have to move through the streets with and defend (CCity)
Try thinking it from a realistic perspective other than a fairness one... Think of the D-Day landing in 1944... Did the Allies have an easy time? No, they pushed in with bad losses to hold the area. (Of course they didn't spawn back, durr ;D)

I know I'm talking from real life, but that's the point of this game, a bit of realism never hurts to be added.

This isn't about map design for me, I'm well aware that in most attackers vs. defenders FPS games the maps will favor the defender... my issue is with the AI balance, and the fact that I was pushed back to my spawn because the enemy is performing at human-level, skill-wise and tactics-wise, whilst you are left with bots that have [censored] for brains.

I shouldn't have to carry the team. I know offense should be difficult, but it's made all the more difficult because I'm the only player who's pulling his weight and I always wind up with 2k more XP than the next bot, occasionally I have over double the XP of the top bot.

Fact is, if this was an MP-only game I possibly wouldn't have bought it... definitely not preordered. The game needs to be able to stand on it's SP mode for people like me who have terrible connections.

Wow, you guys aren't gonna believe this, but I was briefly spawncamped in the first spawn DEFENDING CCity as Resistance, same character at lvl 16. They blew the gate off the bat, I didn't make it in time because I was buffing and they swarmed it, then they poured in, used the wall to flank whilst I was mowing down with the MG emplacement, then when I went to take care of the flankers they killed all my ally bots at the gate/MG clearing and pushed us back to the spawn as the robot came through. Same thing again, [censored] [censored]-for-brains friendly bots standing around getting shot, leaving me to do everything.

By the end of the match I had 16,722 XP... the best friendly bot had 5,206 and the next had 4,326. I had more XP than the top 3 friendly bots combined. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE DAMNED WELL CARRYING THE TEAM ON EASY. These bots need some serious balancing.

I also unwillingly played a Hard game later... I was getting literally insta-killed by mid-range SMG headshot barrages, and the friendly AI was still as thick as [censored]. We got stomped, as usual. These enemy bots are freaking super-human.
