Cheydinhal East Gate

Post » Thu Sep 02, 2010 12:08 am

Hello All,

I was wondering if you could help me with an issue I have near the East Gate in Cheydinhal. Outside, there appears to be a missing "square" area of water that is surrounded by land. I can actually be on land and walk into the water and start swimming. I believe water is supposed to be rendered in that area due to the amount of dead fish I'm always finding there as seen in the first screenshot. Anyone know of a fix for this? I have attached a list of my installed mods and a few screenshots to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. Thank you.

You have Better Cities - Unique Landscape Cheydinhal Falls.esp loaded, but don't appear to have xul CheydinalFalls.esp loaded.

Try either adding in the latter or removing the former

I've tried only loading one and not the other and I just get the same results. Actually, loading just xulcheydinhalfalls.esp results in even more water missing. I'm sure it's related to either of those two mods, but I can't figure how how to fill that small square of land in with water. I've been searching for a patch for the last week and still have had no luck. Got any other suggestions?.

You've already got the patch. Don't use the compatibility patch if you're not using the UL mod itself. Don't use the UL mod Cheydinhal Falls with Better Cities if you're not going to use the compatibility patch. Get your load order right (UL, BC, patch) and ALWAYS rebuild your Bash Patch after ANY changes to your load order (removing mods, adding mods, changing order of mods). Ensure that you import cells in the Bash Patch.

Sorry, but I'm confused, I have both mods activated, I've rebuilt my bashed patch, imported cells. Still no dice.

Then it sounds like another mod in your load order is editing the same cell, and that ESP also has the C.water Bash tag, and it's overriding the patch's C.water tag.
And here's your problem:
06 Unofficial Oblivion Patch.esp [Version 3.2.0]

You're using an outdated version of the UOP, which does and should not have the C.water tag. Get the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27710.
And while you're at it, ensure you have the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22368 installed too, as recent earlier versions didn't handle cell imports correctly, but this has been fixed.
It looks like you're using BOSS to sort your load order, but since one of the ULs is at the end of your load order, this suggests you're using an outdated BOSS Master List, so get the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20516 of that too.
And after running BOSS, don't neglect to do something about the ESPs it lists as unknown and dumps at the end of your load order to place yourself.

I have done everything you said, updated Unofficial Oblivion Patch, using latest version of Wyre Bash and I got the new master list for BOSS and ran it. Still the same results. Will installing UL Total Patch Compilation OMOD help the issue? Thanks for help, I really don't know what else to do.

Hello All,

Just wanted to update on the issue and let you know that I fixed the problem and the solution that I used in case anyone else has any issues.

http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n427/sfocpics/ScreenShot7.jpg

Here is what I posted over at the Tes Nexus Forums:

I did everything you said, I did everything the other people on the Bethesda Forums said. I de-activated one mod and not the other, both mods at the same time, updated wyre bash, updated my BOSS master list, updated Unofficial Oblivion Patch and still nothing.

I believe it was a combination of things that fixed it. Updated the Unofficial Oblivion Patch and rebuilding the bashed patch in Wyre Bash. After, I downloaded this Unique Landscapes Total Compilation OMOD and installed it, the water was where it was supposed to be.

This was bothering me all week!!!! I just stayed in that area the whole time trying everything I could to fix it, I didn't even play the game. Nice that I was finally able to find a solution. Thank you everyone for your help.
