I used Bain to install DMC Stylish, Spell Singer, Stylish Jump, and Fingersnap Cast Animation, along with Mayu's Animation Overhaul and the corresponding bash tweak; as well as Personality Idles & Talk with Your Hands; and Sensual Walks for Female NPCs. I have the Steam GOTY edition of Oblivion; installed in a non-programs directory (C:\Steam\steamapps\common\oblivion\) I have over 150 other mods; including full FCOM and EVE HGEC and Robert's Male Body, all of which work completely fine (minor bugs aside). None of the animation mods work. (For the record, DR6 custom anims don't seem to work either but it's hard to tell without a high-level character).

In light of their non-functioning, I manually replaced the animations for spellcasting in the "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\oblivion\Data\Meshes\Characters\_1stperson" and "C:\Steam\steamapps\common\oblivion\Data\Meshes\Characters\_male" folders and removed MAO, DR6, Personality Idles, and Talk with your Hands. There is still no custom spellcast animation. Have I changed the wrong folder? Forgotten a step? I feel like there is something obvious I must have missed . . . Anyone? Thanks for any help.
