Great idea for Brink 2

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 3:17 pm

From my knowledge, some of the resistance escaped off the Ark to find help. The security said that this was a bad mistake because they sent a team on a mission once and they all got brutally killed. In my opinion, if they make a Brink 2, i think it will be about the resistance and the security joining together to fight off the savages outside the Ark, and maybe since they helped each other defeat the outsiders they could make a truce. the resistance will stop the terrorist acts, and the security will share wealth evenly. It seems like a perfect way to wrap up the loose ends. So what do you guys think about that as a storyline? sorry for spoilers, i'm new here.

Multiplayer would svck, as we would have no reason to fight.

I don't think they have a plan on expanding and making a sequel, good suggestion though!

the ending is set up for a sequel. now we just hope Bethesda and SD don't wimp out, although I doubt they will.

I think we should focus more on how to improve this game as we can now, before we start talking about sequels. But to stay on topic, I look forward to a sequel to this as much as I look forward to a sequel of Borderlands, which for those of you that may be wondering, that's a lot. I've thoroughly enjoyed both of these games despite the lack of customization.

A sequel, to what, the most lackluster game of 2011. Don't get m ewrong, Im sure your idea is fine, (I didnt read it) but considerign the launch for the first week of the game was pretty pitiful, how in the hell would they garner enough hype to generate a sequel.

This game was built around hype. from the new art style, to the so called, refreshing gameplay, and SMART, this game was a hype machine, and they did a great job of creating buzz. While many games suffer from having certain classes or abilities be OP, this game actually is so balanced it's almost unfair.

They would need to retool alot o stuff in order for a sequel to happen. But it wont happen.

Have you beaten the game? Have you seen the audio logs? Have you thought thoroughly of what they meant? I really doubt it.
The point of the actual story was to show a set of battles happening on the Ark... and setting the basics of it, the rest lays in audios...

So please, shut up. This game is a BEGINNING. An EXPERIMENT. Nothing more. The first Assassin's Creed was also an experiment that grew out of it's mistakes and became what is now known as one of the leading franchises.

No I haven't read the logs, and dont have any intuition to do so. I bought this game for the sole purpose to kick ass online, I actually was surprised to even know there was a story, I watched all the cutscenes, the cinematics were cool, but the story is lame.

Im not gonna start a flame war, Im an advlt, and have better things to do, atleast people on this forum defend themsleves, which is refreshing. I just dont think this game can clean up there act fast enough, or gain there initial fanbase back for a successful sequel.

The game actually has a rather nice story in my opinion. The majority of it's depth is in the audio logs which explain a multitude of things. I really advise you check them out?

Anyway, on topic. My mate and I had the exact same idea. Especially with,

*SPOILER ALERT*

The boat coming toward the Ark at the end of the security campaign.

Borderlands, to this day, is the best Adventure FPS out there, by miles, miles and miles.
Incredibly good game, with addicting weapon system.
Would have loved to see more multiplayer options in it.

As for Brink: We have here a wicked game that needs polishing. Its an unpolished diamond. I have played FPS games since the very first ones came to mind. I have gone through all CoD series, all Battlefield volumes, and for me, Brink, with polish, will beat them all.
The classes are really well done, some more skills, possibly passive skills per class would be nice. And SD need to have their own dedicated servers to host for us console users or also for PC users.
Then, all will be sweet as nuts.

Hoping for one hell of a DLC and definately so we can play old school and other games in 8vs8 mode on console, with no lag.

I have the most awesome idea for brink 2.

Don't make it!

Instead keep improving brink "1".

I seriously don't get this fascination people have with the magical "2".

i would like an mmo based on brink, all maps of brink in one non instance map - world,

with places on container city where could be plaied mini games like : cards like poker for collectible or advanced items.
places in ark where u can upgrade your skills like : workshop for engineers, cheropractics for medic for faster resources regeneration, operatives get improved abilities soldiers can get rocket launchers,
the abilities could be going away by use or time so we would have to do that all over again.
have fishing in ark for making potions , trade , fishing scrap for crafting.
have scavenging rustied boats for mining
i would like clans that contribute in community to get the best apartments in ark tower, or those that have sold too many resources and what not to be able to trade for their own workshops where they charge fees for the use so people wouldnt have to travel or pay tolls to go to the big workshops
etc
