It's from the CL, you can wear it.

If I recall correctly, the grunts have the 'standard' armor, and the higher ranked officers wear that really Roman Legion styled armor

There is 4 ranks, forget the names, each rank has upgraded armor from the lesser ranks. Yes, they look awsome.

will CL seems to be influenced by Rome so im guessing is based off awesome roman armor witch will be cool

I think it's cool how the armor gets more and more ornate the higher the rank is. And I'm definitely getting one of those wolf/dog/fox head caps like the one Vulpes Inculta has.

Indeed, I have to praise the developer who designed it, just that brief glance at it, you can see s/he put ALOT of love into that suit of armor.

Yeah, those are cool. I don't think the wolf hoods are part of the ranked armors, it's probably made strickly for Vulpes's team. Of course, you can always kill, or maybe do quests for him to get your own.

Well, I could have sworn I saw a guy other than Vulpes wearing one, so unless he was under Vulpes' command or something, I don't think that's right.

Standardbearers of the Roman army wore animal-head skin, and I've seen a CL member wearing a banner on his back while wearing the hood in a video. Aurelius of Phoenix is a Centurion so my guess is that Centurions, Praetorians and other high ranked people will be wearing something that sets them apart from the regular legionaries.
