The comunity is dropping like flies...

I think it's a great game, even with it's flaws. You haters are just total perfectionists who have issues with the SMALLEST of problems.
Sure there are big issues that get in the way, so what?

Honestly, if you're going to trade it in, then go do so and stay silent, there is nothing to be proud of and you'll only annoy people who love the game.

Small problems? Completely game breaking lag on the 360 is not a small problem by any means.

A game that costs $60 and is severely lacking content is not a small problem by any means.

A class system that is flawed in design is not a small problem by any means.

The core gameplay is good, but there are multiple issues that are currently ruining this game. When I can get into a lag free 5v5 match it is fun, but it seems rare that it happens. It is becoming more and more frustrating by the day, and I am really struggling to hold out and see what SD can do to fix it.

Please stop acting like it is OK to release a game in such a terrible state. We basically all paid $50-$60 for a multiplayer beta, and it's unacceptable.

First impressions are everything, and Brink made a TERRIBLE first impression.

For PS3, I don't get any lag anymore... But that's mainly because I'm host :L But each time I check the scoreboard, the people's bars are usually green... So I dunno ._.
But on other matches with different hosts, I get crippling lag at some points :L

Moral of the story? Be host, it's easier ;D (Jokes intended)

I love the game. SD is a solid dev, and I have great faith in them as far as this game goes (and judging by their track record, i'd say that's merited) Most games these days take a while to smooth out, because of deadlines and a demanding, short-attention-span audience. I'd say there's nothing to worry about as far as Brink goes. Once everyone gets over the shock of a game kind of different from what we're used to, it'll be smooth sailing. I, for one, am going to be playing this game for a long time.

So last night the wife worked late, thought I would play some Brink.... 2 hours and nobody was on?? Public matches, nobody. Then someone joined. Both of us had full bright green bars, with crippling lag. I texted the other player to join fire team. We both left, partied up and... more lag. This isn't a complaint about the lag more of a coment, I fear nobody is playing on LIVE anymore due to the lag.

I picked it up used 4 days after release and enjoyed it, even with issues. Tried to play yesterday and it lagged and locked up the 360 for the first time. This was the last straw, returned it for full refund. May buy it back after the DLC/patches. Gonna keep an eye on SD and see what they do. I liked the game, but not enough to risk the money and I will likely get another used copy when/if it is fixed.

Voted No, no, YAY!

The DLC and patch aren't out yet, but I"m confident they will be here, and they will resolve as many issues as possible. And free DLC, YAY!

Trade? *#&$ NO! MINE!!! *hugs Brink box, glaring at anyone that strays too close*

But they could do with keeping the community better informed on what's going on, so no, I don't think they're doing the communication side of things justice.

Agreed.
The other night, I was trying to get the tough as nails achievement on Campaign versus, did like half of Security campaign and all of the resistance campaign and I saw 3 human players the entire time. Whether they were on my team or not, I saw 3 players. It's a joke. Not that I should complain, because it was easy as hell to get the achievement because of which. But I should complain really, because it just proves how dead the game is on 360.
Thinking of getting it on PS3 instead, because I do really enjoy the game. But cba starting all over again and theres no real games that I wanna trade my 360 version in for atm and nobody is willing to buy it off me.
It's like trying to sell car with no wheels or engine, just a shell of potential.

ANYBODY that trades in ANY mp game this quickly after its launch has the attention span of a house fly. I dont think I have played a MP game that has been excellent after the first ten days of its release (All COD series, KZ 2/3, MAG, Unchartered 2, etc). The first cpl of weeks are usually laggy / glitchy because you have thousands of people on servers that haven't been tested for that amount of people and you have thousands of people constantly looking for glitches / exploits. Wait and see what fixes will come in the next patch/es and whether or not those patches help or hurt the game. Even with the very bad lag on some games (I leave those asap), the lack of full 8 v 8 games, and the super stupid yet super crack-shot AI, I have been thoroughly enjoying this game. I play with friend whenever I can and usually try to play MP games against other humans (Competitive and big team) whenever I can.

Now that being said I wish that mum WASNT the word for SD and Beth. I wish they were on these forums more telling us exactly what is being addressed in the next patch and a time frame for said patches release.

Lastly I say YAY for the free DLC that they are releasing as a good faith gesture towards their fans for their screw ups. I don't think I have seen free DLC in ANY mp game recently. You even have bums selling DLC right on the day of the games release as opposed to being on the disk or even selling broken DLC (Im looking at you GG and KZ3 ahemmmm)

Didn't trade it in....yet. I'm going to give it until June when the DLC comes out to really decide what to do with my copy.

I'm hopeful for patches/fixes/tweaks and DLC to make this good game into a better game with more content, better AI, less lag, etc.

If it hasn't improved by then, I am going to have to sadly trade it in and buy iNFAMOUS 2 or Killzone 3 instead.

If you do trade it in id go with infamous 2. I got KZ3 when it first dropped and had a blast on it but the PSN going down + other MP games coming out (like Brink) seems to have leeched a large amount of players form it. it is also very different then Brink in terms of the game play and classes. You will go crazy when the other team is filled with invisible snipers, or when your teammates dont capture another spawn leaving you to be spawn camped, or when they completely ignore the objectives / the win and go solely for kills. Don't get me wrong KZ3 is very fun when you play with people but when you play with randoms it will make you wish you had FF on so you could cap all your useless teammates lol.

voted No No Yay.

I love the game when it works & am hoping that with a full team of humans it would becoming a more fulfilling experience.

BUT, for them to release a multiplayer game in this shameful state & charge full price is disgraceful. Has there been any sort of apology & some more recent news? If the only patch coming isnt arriving till June I may jus trade it in now while it still has some value & pick up a bargain bin copy in a few weeks. I play 360 & the lag ranges from non-existent to game-breaking & im not meeting enough REAL people. I feel disillusioned. Such promise but so many lil problems too. If this doesnt get fully sorted ill be boycotting the company in future.

First off people are returning it becuase for the first week 8 out of 9 rounds were UNPLAYABLE. The Ratio has got better but I'm still finding 3 out of 4 round unoplayable so you can't blame them for selling a game they can't play. As for your "most games are laggy in the first 10 days"...I woudl say you're exaggerating a bit. Sure the first FEW days 1-3, maybe 4 are expected to have SOME issues but not be deemed as completely unplayable...and not to mention after a full week many, if not all, of those issues still exist.

Also, this game was marketed as a multiplayer game, so forgive the community for not putting up with full rooms of bots 95% of the time /sarcasm...this fact alone is simply stupid.

And the DLC...you dang right is a good faith gesture...more like appeasemant, sacrifise, pity, and all out teared up sorrowful EX crying to let them back in move. I have a friend at Gamestop and he was absolutely shocked by the amount of returns he got within the first few days.

Again, I return to the word...UNPLAYABLE...just let that soak in and then realize this game has been in the works for years and out for a week and its still UNPLAYABLE...

That fact is just sad.

if the dlc is decent ill keep it for the sake of it, since i traded old games i wasnt going to play again for it im ok with keeping it......but i really pity the people on this website that actually spent hard cash on this...even if you u say u like it, i dont care, you didnt get a full game, you got a 1/3 of one, everyone got ripped off, this is a game that should have either gone for $20 or 1200 points < (would have sold millions), its not a full game....its an arcade game with slightly more features........SD said they modded the ID Tech 4 engine loads to make the game look and play better......personally i think they should have made a few more tweaks.
