Not bad considering it doesn't include PC, its a new IP, and there was no mainstream advertising.

I think the longevity of the game will come down to how much is added in the June DLC.

Beyond those figures, just anecdotally, I have seen seven members of my gaming clan pick this title up since launch. That started from two of us who had it from pre-order just chatting about the game and the others hearing us and deciding to get Brink. Everyone is loving the game. I think this is how (at least on PC) the game is going to grow and gather a following, by word of mouth.

I really hope so. I just have read a post about crysis 2 that it has died online.

Played in 7 different games, all different rooms, little but tolerable lag in one, smooth in the rest with 4 human players on each side.

Im on a PS3, sharing a cable connection with 10 other users.

More on subject... I cant see how people could continue playing their favorite FPS's until their successors are released late 11 or early 12. Unless Im unaware of a new fps coming out within the next two months, I would think its popularity would increase simply due to the lack of activity elsewhere.
