Thinking about getting brink

I was thinking about getting brink, but I want you guys to give me everything about the game. Everything, as in every single problem, weak guns, strong guns, does it have limited missions or not, etc.

U will get different kind of opinions... good and bad. But here's mine.

Depends on what system u have. But if talking about PC... the gameplay is not as good as it is in ET, Waw or BO for example. It can be guite a messy "chaos" in Brink. The trailers and game vids showed it will be almost realistic but the reality is far away from those promo campaigns promised. I would say the game feels like toy made in hongkong. The animation is like in games early '90s. Colors are crap. Maps begin to feel booring after few hours of gaming. Sure there will be new maps so... And parkour thing in practise is nothing special in Brink when bcs happens automatically. Sure it was awesome to watch it in the trailer but in game it's just a slide or fancy jump over the wall or something. Im quite disappointed bcs of that difference between the reality and how they made us felling in love with Brink. Should remember that they always put some sugar on the shi... cake to give better taste when they give us some pieces of it. Oh and if u are more or less allergic for hackers they are already infiltrated to Brink so prepare urself to get nasty rash lol. If I would have an opportunity to test the game for few days I woudnt buy it. This is just my opinion so let the other guys say theirs.

Wait maybe 10 days. This game, like all new releases nowadays, is very buggy.

However, because BRINK is trying something so radically different, most people think the bugs are intentional, so that ruins the review.

MUST GET IF:
- You enjoy working together.
- You enjoy Attack/Defend gameplay.
- You are a very supportive player.
- You have played/watched Assassin's Creed or Mirror's Edge and want to combine FPS with that sort of movement.
- You can play the same maps over and over and find the fun in each expereience.

DO NOT GET IF:
- You are a lone wolf player.
- You play only to level up.
- You play only to kill.
- You play only to brag.
- You are expecting a deep campaign.
- You are expecting a deep singleplayer.

You could just do a little research. Read through some of the threads in this forum and other forums and reviews around the web.

I have the PS3 version and a general summary is that so far I like the game. I do think all the guns seem a little weak, but that's just my opinion. I would prefer guns to kill most enemies in no more than 5 or maybe 6 bullets but this game seems to take a lot more unless you get a headshot...which is quite difficult IMO. Even headshots seem to take several bullets to get a kill. Also, there is no actual kill by shooting someone. You must shoot them until they fall and then they are incapacitated. Once they are down you have to either pump even more bullets into them or walk up and bash them with the butt of your gun...I don't particularly like this system, but that's a personal choice thing. I would rather get full kills at least with headshots,,,incapacitate with leg and body shots (did I say body shots? LOL), but then a solid kill with headshots would be better IMO.

Another thing is that so far I've only found one online multiplayer mode that doesn't employ bots. I was at first thinking that all modes utilized AI to fill in spots and I was actually planning to return the game today because of that, but I found that the "Competition" mode uses only real players so I'll give it a little more time.

Another thing I've found in the few hours I've been playing is that the grenades don't cover a very large radius. It seems you nearly have to drop one in an enemy pocket to gain damage on them. I also don't think a grenade will kill an enemy with full health, although I may be wrong. I have found that I can run over several anti-personnel mines without dieing and only taking a little damage. So overall I would say that all weapons in the game are pretty darned weak. Some people may like this...I don't. It's not a game killer for me but definitely something anyone considering buying the game should be aware of.

Rokstedi is a great medium / sniping range weapon. It's just horrible close up, is all. The gun's not bad, it's just you won't chaneg your tactics and use it as a AR.

Rammite has it! All he says is fairly true. This is definitely highly team oriented game. If you want to be a super soldier who can take on a full army alone like in some other games on the market (you know which ones I mean) then this probably isn't for you. Also, if you think that flashy graphics are what make a game then it's probably not for you. I know some people base their entire view of a game on how realistic the graphics and if that's you then just move along. While they aren't ultra real, they're not terrible as some others will say. It is however a little cartoonie...reminds me a lot of F.E.A.R. series games.

There also is not a huge single player campaign or storyline. The game is clearly multiplayer oriented and built around that experience. And again, I can't stress how important team play is to the game. This is not at all like those big name titles where you don't need to rely on anyone but your own perks and bonuses...if you can't work well with others and depend on others for a win while also being dependable to others then just get something else, because you won't like this game!

Parkour is a way of movement, basically to get from one palce to another as fast and effectively and possible. SMART does that beautifully.

Thanks for the laugh  Parkour is a form of "free running" like "free style." It refers to the epically slick movement of your character in the game (aka SMART.)

I don't know why they call it hardcoe...

All the crashes i have are a result of steam proving itself as a hindrance to gaming. Restart the game crashes again, restart steam, problem fixed.
